It would be better if you don't have to walk though the shopping mall with your shopping trolley from Sainsbury's. However, in still giving them five stars. Good quality of food, staff is friendly. Plenty of space. Good prices.
We were given very special treatment at the check out. As visitors to Edinburgh we needed some guidance regarding the way we were to operate the self check out of our purchases.nThe person who assisted us mentioned that she was soon to celebrate 40 years of service to Sainsbury. What an amazing testament as she cheerily guided us through the process.nShe will be given rich reward in recognition of her years of loyalty at Sainsbury.
I’m an occasional visitor here due to where I now live but it’s halcyon days when it first opened as a Savacentre are long gone. It’s pretty meh and is just like any other Sainsbury’s now albeit with a wider selection of food, clothing and homewares. The shop’s now looking tatty in parts with its full refurb a bygone from well over a decade ago. Water appeared to be leaking from the roof in one aisle with a couple of mop buckets aligned to catch the water. Sadly missed is the restaurant that once blessed the store. A bad move IMO as it was pretty good and a welcome change from Greggs and Costa close by.nnThree stars awarded as it’s not that competitive compared to its neighbour, Aldi, and the store itself doesn’t really have much to tempt custom in.
I absolutely love this Sainsburys. Such a spacious well stocked store and I always manage to find everything I need, even in the TU clothing department.nnStaff are super friendly, always helpful and go out of their way to check items for you at the back. They show signs of being well trained & understanding customer service. Keep up the great work !
