DO NOT DO EVRI PARCELS HERE! On 10+ occasions in the last few months they have not taken them. Occasionally it’s the machine is out of paper, but sometimes they don’t give a reason at all. I know machines break, but I’ve never seen it like this in any other shop, only Tescos mainly this one. Do not bother lugging your parcels here. Royal Mail takes Evri now and are just down the road.nnMy boyfriend and I started making bets about whether it’d be broken or not- we even tried to find a way around it by printing the labels at home and half the time they still don’t take them from you.nnAside from that, the shop is very expensive and poorly stocked.
Why is the Evri printer never working at this store? It has been like this for around 6 months. Now the handwritten note has been upgraded to a printed one!
It's a great Tesco! Especially with a really crap Sainsbury's nearby. The store has pretty much everything you need. It's understaffed and at times, messy. I'm really pleased about it! Great gluten free selection too
Seems like a serious staffing issue at this location. Did they make redundant most of the staff and replace them with these new self-checkout machines? The remaining employees look extremely stressed out because the self-checkout machines don't work properly so they're doing the work of both human and machine. You'll be standing there for 10 minutes before someone comes along to help you, and no wonder: they have 1 person doing what 4 people used to do.
A small supermarket with a light and airy feel to it on the corner of a busy junction, handy for the nearby Napier University.nAisles are wide and easy to get around and shelves are usually well stacked with a good selection of products. Staff are friendly and helpful.nThe self service tills are card only and there are rarely anyone on the ordinary tills, so if you wish to pay cash then you need to find a member of staff to open the till at the cigarette counter, so it’s more difficult than it really needs to be.
