I can’t comment on the food or drink because not for the first time I was told I couldn’t have a cup of tea because they were closed when it was well before the advertised closing time. I am beginning to think Sainsbury’s doesn’t really want to offer customers the convenience of a cafe any more. I have been using supermarket cafes as good value stopping off points on long journeys for years but I think I have to give up on their reliability. Shame.
Not overly impressed guys. The food took over half an hour to arrive. I understand there can be delays at busy times but what would be nice is to be pre-warned so that I could pop over to McDonalds or somewhere else over the road in Mcarthur Glen to get something there instead. The cutlery was absolutely disgusting, around half of which was covered in an unidentifiable solidified substance. I don't know how the cutlery is cleaned be it by dishwasher or by human hand but would suggest in either case, something is malfunctioning. Perhaps keep the cutlery behind the scenes and bring it out with the food? That way a double check could be made by the member of staff bringing the food to the table. Food OK but could be better for the price. Two stars for a decent coffee and friendly staff but could do a lot better here. Will I come back? The jury's still out on that one.
Normally food and service here is Ok. Came in today for my lunch told the woman behind to counter what I wanted and then 3 seconds later forgot the order. So I explained again slowly and then I was told by here not to speak to her that way and I was being rude. I said I was explaining the order and then she went off on a rant. I've been coming here for ages but no more. A lot of people have been complaining about staff here. I think I know why now. Avoid this place.
Terrible! The veg lasagne was undercooked as was the lady’s on the table next to me! They were obviously understaffed, but no excuse for not cooking a ready meal properly. The staff were friendly and gave me a refund though.
Had a breakfast was told no hash browns and to choose something else so had an extra peice of toast, breakfast came out beans were cold, egg not properly cooked, NO toast? Asked staff where the toast was came out 10min later just 1 peice? Absolute shambles there
Very poor breakfast. £5 for salmon and bagel. Only salmon on one bagle. When I asked if I could please have some on the other I was told no, its measured out. Shocking food for the money!
If your hungry if your thirsty do not go here this is without doubt the worst supermarket in Wales , went here early it wasn't busy 2 or 3 people in front of me I finally got to order 2 coffees and 2 meals paid and sat down waited for nearly an hour , ridiculous .
Understaffed. Advertised sourdough unavailable. Difficult to find clean cutlery.
Breakfast was rubbish
