Started back in 1995 by Nick & Chrissy Hunt, Saffrons Bistro has remained a firm favourite amongst Worcester residents and visitors alike.

Story

Saffrons Bistro is known for three main reasons.
A relaxed, inviting and laid-back atmosphere and service style.
A great selection of music from spanning many decades, with favourites from the 60's and 70's.
And of course unpretentious, wholesome, tasty food.

But what is Saffrons Bistro less known for?
How about our intimate bar area upstairs? Perfect for a pre-dinner drink or post-dinner liqueur coffee.
Our large (and growing) selection of gins? We love gin and with now nearly 20 different gins to try from why not come and have a special G&T as an aperitif?
Our party room? Catering parties of up to 26 it is the ideal area to hold a meeting or throw a party for that special occasion.
Our great value-for-money Prix Fixe lunch and early evening menu? With 2 courses starting at £13 it is perfect for those looking after the purse strings or those after a quick bite to eat before the cinema or theatre in the evening.

An excellent small restaurant discovered by accident on a day out in Worcester. Within easy walk of the Cathedral. All home cooked to a high standard including desserts which is rare nowadays. Good service friendly, and well informed staff. A wide selection of drinks. I had a Teo Pepe. Dry white wine and a Benedictine to finish. Lovely experience.

I found Saffron's Bistro to be disappointing. The place itself is lovely, waiting staff were very friendly and it's in a great location, but the food wasn't good. My risotto was undercooked with raw rice. The waiter was very helpful in getting it re-cooked, but it still didn't taste of anything, I don't think any seasoning was used during cooking. My partner's chips were also undercooked/raw in the middle. We were offered pudding on the house to make up for our mains which was a kind gesture, but unfortunately one of these was also undercooked, with raw flour in the crumble.

Had an early super before a concert in the Cathedral. Lovely meal with a very nice house wine. Just as good as when we were there two years ago.

Our new favourite place in Worcester. Top quality food in a comfortable surrounding - you don't feel out place rocking up in your jeans and a tee. Their selection of gin needs to be seen too!

Worth 4.5 stars. Friendly, comfortable little place with lovely gin bar upstairs. All our food was excellent.
