Another unique pub of Ireland. Very friendly and a fantastic pour. Wings n Prawns great. Great little town loved it. Dog friendly!Food: 5/5
Was a nice place to stop for food and drinks. The sassy young lady behind the bar made it perfect
This used to be my local in Sandymount over the 40 or so years I have lived in Irishtown and Sandymount. Not any more after a polite request to watch test match cricket was rudely turned down by a new barman to me who told me bluntly this is not a cricket pub. Well Mr, new barman, there happens to be several thrivIng cricket clubs in this area. Your colleague Martin, always a gentleman in the way he speaks to customers, has several times turned on a variety. of sports for me including cricket. I have now deflected my regular custom to nearby rival hostelries who don't think cricket is just a garrison game.
Lovely decor but witnessed disgusting treatment of an older person, refused a simple pot of tea. I would judge society in general by the treatment of vulnerable citizens and this left a very bad taste in my mouth. Was looking forward to a celebration but left after one drink, cannot condone this treatment. Used to be a very very friendly and welcoming pub.
Actually a very ! local pub. Very low-key. And quiet. Especially for a Friday night. There was rugby on each televisions and the stuff was not very welcoming. I was politely asking if they have the Green Spot whiskey which the barman denied but he wouldn’t offer any alternatives whatsoever. So I went for a Jameson which I was sure, they would have. Apart from the drink service and money exchange there was no further word whatsoever. When I finished my whiskey both barmen couldn’t bother to ask me, if I wanted another drink. I have been around Dublin since 1994 frequently. I know the area well. And I have been to a lot of pubs in the city and outside. If you are looking for a welcoming boozer, this is not the place to go. Then again if you are a Sandymount local everything might be fine. Seems they just don’t care too much for unknown faces. Apart from that very classic interior and pretty bright. That’s the second star.
Ryan’s Pub is here. Get away from all the people and enjoy a quiet pint or some food. In A very clean place. My opinion the best pub in town. My grandson and myself having a taste with Fred. All the people in this place are great and we all share stories.
We found a big screen at the back but the video was not of great quality. The commentary was a bit ahead of the match. This place had toilets but they could have been cleaner. They serve Guiness 0.0. It was quiet enough on the weekday I visited for Champions League football. No complaint about the service.
This pub holds a special place in my heart. It was where my fiancée and I had our first date, it is where we came to celebrate our engagement and it is always a beautiful place to just come in randomly, enjoy quiet and a nice fire with amazing staff that are respectful and pleasant to take any services from. A golden location that will forever be in my heart! Great job, absolutely brilliant!!!
Nice pub to watch the game.Service: 5/5
