We had a great time. Really good pub and with a really good and traditional Guinness well served toilet was super clean and you can sit outside if you desire. Inside you have really good place and comfortable sits. I would recommend that one
M O'Briens is a quintessential "local pub" where you have the regulars that come in, breed an air of familiarity, and have their say in every discussion. I walked in on a cold Irish evening in Dublin when the jacket I'd bought from India failed to keep put the wind and the lovely Irish weather. O'Briens was warm, quiet and the barkeep was very helpful with what Irish whiskey I should knock back. Added bonus he was a history buff as well. He gave me recommendations for which Irish whiskey to carry back and why. I felt right at home, such a sense of familiarity and belonging.... Visit here if you can.
Went for a work dinner and had the black pudding scotch eggs as starter and pork chops as main course. Both were very nice. Service for the staff was very good and they were attentive enough without being overly so. And added to this you can get Guinness from the bar downstairs, this will definitely be a place I will come back to.Food: 5/5
Enjoyed a couple of drinks in the bar on a sunny Friday afternoon. Relaxed , friendly place that you'd want to revisit.
Great pint and great laughs. I stopped in 3 times over the weekend on my way home since it is right by where we were staying. Great staff as well as your locals always there for a good time.
Iconic watering hole where Leeson St sweeps roung to Morehampton Road. The bar is a throwback to another era with low stools and alcoves providing the dark backdrop for a great pint of Guinness. The staff are old style professionals who deal with the after work throbg courteously and efficiently. In warm weather, capacity expands out onto the pavement, and island of tranquility strangely unaffected by its position on the old main drag,
Bar man over charged me for drinks only got 7 euro change from 40 for one gin and juice and 2 pints. I dont really go out and drink, and I'm positive he knew he gave me the wrong change but didn't want to make a fuss. I'll definitely be very careful in future buying drinks. Bar was ok otherwise .
Another Great Pub I Regularly Visit On My Travels and If You’re Lucky You Might Bump into The Great John Kavanagh having A Smoke Outside!!! Perfect Pints Every Time and You Won’t Be Disappointed!!!
What a totally authentic watering hole, lovely spot on the way into town .Full of locals and some visitors, too, all rubbing together in a traditional pub
We had our last lunch in this place. Amazing gastronomic experience. So sad because we didn't have enough time to enjoy more. The service was excellent and the food amazing, congratulations to the kitchen as well. Very derved 5 stars and highly recommended.
