Great place for a perfect pour Guinness pint!
The food was good. The staff were lovely. Not a very varied menu but it has a bit of everything. Lovely spot to sit down the back of the pub next to the fire. It was really cosy. The coleslaw and chicken sandwich was very dry.
One of a trio of bars in Ballsbridge. Like the others it's festooned with memorabilia and hasn't lost it's cosy old-style atmosphere. Bit of a selection of beer, not the widest in town but should be something to tickle your fancy. Nice fireplace down the back for cold evenings.
Lovely old pub - great when match is on in Aviva or RDS - strange there is a 10 % charge when ordering drinks from your table

The most disappointing meal that I’ve had in Dublin in a long time. I visited here on Wednesday past after attending an event at the RDS. I decided to order the steak burger as I was absolutely starving. After ordering and I’d waited about 15 minutes the bar man told me there’s being a mistake in the kitchen and the order was only going to be processed then. He gave me a drink as an apology, I was driving so I had a 7up. Finally when the steak burger arrived after at least another further 15 minutes it was disappointing as you can see. I was expecting a decent steak burger when in reality it was probably the thinnest burger you could buy. The amount of chips that came on the plate was pretty miserable and there wasn’t even any side salad. I ate the burger and the chips as I was so hungry and tired. At €14.50 it was a really, really expensive for such a rubbish dinner. How it took so long to prepare such a burger I don’t know as when I was there I didn’t see anyone else eating. Please avoid as this is an insult to Irish bar food and the worst that I’ve ever had.
Great pub with a great atmosphere. Perfect for apre match drinks. Feels like you're in your local where people know your name. Best staff in the business.
Grand spot. Visited before an RDS match. Friendly service. Pricey large beer prices for outdoor consumption.
Great food & service on a very busy day.
