Service and location was first rate. I can't comment on the rooms as I didn't stay at the hotel. Food was cooked to order. All piping hot and servings were more than enough. Ate here 3 times, second and third occasions had no room for dessert. Staff were very obliging and friendly.Service: 5/5
Despite being very quiet in January the staff were great, beer was fine and the meal was excellent. Will be backService: 5/5
We stopped for a light bite before heading to the beach..... food was absolutely delicious & although at first we thought a bit pricey for what we were served,it was just the right amount. Chips are fantastic....the only small doubt is that the food took a while, as there wasn't that many customers, but maybe that proves it's cooked to order & made fresh ..... would highly recommend.
Lovely pub with friendly staff. Very welcoming after a big walk!Rooms: 5/5
Well located, big rooms and a nice breakfast. Bed had an end on, which when you're 6'6 makes for a less comfy night's sleep, though that's not really their fault.
We had a few pints and shared a bowl of mussels and a plate of chips, both of which were excellent. Very friendly staff gave great service and were happy to step over our large dog who just loves to get in the way!
A pleasant outdoor area to enjoy a few drinks on a scorching dayonce the man with the labradors had fettled our brolly- thank you didn't eat on this occasion but looked good the samples that came out around us.Service: 5/5
Lovely pub and restaurant. We didn't have full meals but we had chips and a chocolate fudge cake. Reasonably priced desserts and sides. What food we did see looked and smelled amazing. The staff were ran off their feet but all did amazing . Some rude customers were not understanding of the staffs predicament of being short staffed and made them upset but they coped well with this situation.
A warm welcome from the lovely young staff, great food & atmosphere. We chatted with the friendly & humorous young girls who were waiting on & manning the bar, & were so impressed with their optimism & hard work. I understand that the owner was also the chef, & the food was lovely & well cooked, with a good choice for our group who wanted a mix of both meat & veggie mains. Good draught beer too. So many pubs & cafes are struggling at the moment because of Covid & lack of staff, please do support them & be understanding. We need to keep places like this.
We booked the same day we wanted to go and only just got in. So glad we did as they were turning people away when we were there. The hotel inside is very calming and clean with under stated decoration. It does not look at all how you would expect from the exterior. They showered to be struggling with understaffing issues so they were all extremely busy. Some looked very young and in experienced but trying very hard which we really appreciated. The young lady running front of house kept the customers informed on what was happening which was excellent The food was well cooked, fresh and hot. An excellent selection to choose from. We both had pie. Steak and Ale and Chicken and Chirizo. One with wedges and one with new potatoes, a selection of fresh veg came with it. Loved the roasted beetroot and red cabbage. We are going back so we can try something different and maybe have a pudding this time no starters. Very dog friendly with a resident dog who welcomes customers he knows. Would recommend if you are in the area.
