Friendly welcome , seated straight away ,it was busy drinks order taken and served quickly, food order taken , it was busy with a couple of large tables our food took a long time to come , perhaps we could have been told it will take longer as we are busy . Food was really good more than ample portion , we could not have had dessert. We will visit again. The food was worth the wait staff really good. Thanks
We have watched the Jollies climb our ladder of preference for some time and they are at the top. Great atmosphere, great staff and food for pub grub beyond that scale now. Christmas lunch today, amazing prawn and crayfish, crispy five spice duck, 8oz steak and mince pies. The chef Dale is young and very talented, thanks Dale. Very impressed. Merry Christmas
Absolutely amazing place! Lovely staff, owners are wonderful, we sat and talked to them about rallying, camping and everything inbetween for a good two hours, if not more. Great cat called Dave, secretly dave is in charge. Awesome home cooked food, not in anyway expensive and definitely well worth the money. Well priced drinks. Free parking. As fellow campers they welcome you to park overnight with open arms they just ask you be respectful of the land. Dog friendly, they are happy for your pup to join you at the pub. Honestly, visit, you will not regret it. They need the business to keep the doors open and they deserve it. Support this business, they are worth it!
What a great find this is. Touring the North East we stopped here for an excellent meal last night. Sea-bass for me with plenty of salad, veg and boiled potatoes, for my wife fruity Chicken Salad, both unique, tasty and filling. Superb service from all of the team, thankyou.
Had a lovely meal, food was amazing and cooked perfectly, wasn’t expensive either. Had great service from the staff and very welcoming. Would visit again 100%

First time visited in years ,very impressed with the food and also a great pint of Guinness. I had the pork chops accompanied by some fantastic chips ,onion rings mushrooms and salad. The menu was extensive to cater for all tastes. Can't wait to go back .
Great night and great food at the riding club Christmas do. Really nice pub, well cared for and staff lovely. The food was plentiful and very good, and I will definitely go back.
Called in yesterday 14/10/22 for lunch.i had liver and onions etc,my friend had Cumberland sausage ring,both were excellent,piping hot,freshly cooked,and great value for money. Will definitely call again
