Story

We are a beautiful family run campsite located on the North East coast. Runswick Bay is a Jurassic coast line with an abundance of Fossils, we cater for caravan and Tents and motorhomes. We have electric and non electric pitches, we have a few hard standing. We have two Glamping accomadations which are available to hire. We have a small development of 24 static caravans, occasionally we have pitches become free for new homes.

We stayed 3 nights here. The campsite was fine, if a bit pricey. It was very quiet when we were there with only about 10 other families camping and so everything was very easy, very laid back and relaxed. If it had been full, I imagine that might have been a different story. The area is lovely, the beach is a very steep 10-minute walk. Very dog-friendly area.
This site sure knows how to charge 38 .00 per night for planting a tent in a field . Toilet block had 4 lights if I remember right 2 not working 1 didn't even have a tube in . Showers had a downlights half of these didn't work of the pir . Very poor although clean . Toilets a fairway from tent field . On arrival asked straight away for payment and told where to go that was it . Would I recommend no ! Other than surrounding area .
New field is promising but needs to mature a bit with some planting. I'm sure that will happen over time. Very friendly welcome and large pitches but would like to see some small pitch options for smaller tents with prices to match.
Spent one night here, bit expensive, cash only but that wasnt a problem. Lovely little site with 11 pitches. Could do with big hedges cutting back so would be a better view. Showers and toilets very clean. Lovely and friendly wardens
Quiet location, one field with poor drainage. Shower and toilet facilities clean and well maintained but situated quite a distance from the small field especially if you are taking a shower in the cooler parts of the day. It appears that the company / owners have moved away from the more traditional holiday makers style to something which I'm sure is far more lucrative. As a result if you are looking for a bare, quiet field with no other facilities then Runswick Bay Caravan and Camping Park is definitely for you.
Recently camped here,we where the first on the field. The facilities where lovely, clean toilets and showers, with a utility room with laundry facilities. and even a freezer to put your ice packs in to re-freeze. Lovely friendly staff. Dog friendly as long as on the lead at all times. We will be booking again.
For the money we paid very disappointed, when the bed is put out there's not much room left for anything else and it was not very comfortable even with our memory foam mattress on top. And we had mould on the curtains, managed 2 nights with very little sleep and cut our holiday short.
Gorgeous campsite! Shame the toilets are so far away though, especially when you're at the top of the field. But the staff are super friendly and very accommodating. Definitely recommend camping here!
Lovely little site. Short drive to Whitby and walking distance to runswick back so great location. We stayed in a very cute bell tent that had everything we needed along with a very comfy bed. Everywhere was clean and staff friendly. Showers could a bit better but was happy to overlook that based on how great everything else was
There was no welcome or information given on arrival and there is no shop. We had hoped for views and were sadly underwhelmed. At weekends it felt claustrophobic but there were sufficient loos and showers. The cleaning lady was lovely but it wasn't done as regularly as other sites we have visited. On the positive side, there is great access to the coast path and runswick bay is beautiful.
