Good pub food in an unpretentious atmosphere which is very welcome in this area. They have great deals regularly. I would have given it 5 stars but they failed to mention that there was no crackling with the pork that day! (I would have changed my order had I known) However, it was £5 for roast dinner day so its difficult to complain really.

Went for Sunday roast here this week after seeing a £5 meal offer and it was a great experience. Fantastic setting, nice friendly staff and the food was excellent. Very impressed and will certainly return. Looking forward to summer in the garden there!

Excellent country pub especially for food. Good menu and the prices are not steep either. Service good too. Sells a few real ales. Parking not a problem as it's reasonably big. Been there quite a few times and never been disappointed.

Great for Sunday lunches. Parking usually ok, but at busy times can be pushed for space. Haven't been in the garden recently but from what I remember it had a lot of tables, nicely spread out and was perfect for a relaxed drink.

Saturday 14th April - Booked table in advance for family lunch for 5 adults at 1200 We had poor experience in this pub last year but decided to give it another try which was a mistake - Landlord was unfriendly and we were sat next to large exterior door that was closed at first then opened and pinned back with no thought for us - After we shut door because of the cold draft the Landlord said it must be open and said we could move to another table that was 4 but the 5 of us we squeezed on . We tried to order main course but chosen meals not available. Pub became very busy with long waits at bar as only 2 staff including waitress - Gave up trying to get more drinks due to 6 to 8 people waiting with one serving. On trying to order deserts 4 of our choices were not available. After waiting 10 minutes to order 5 coffees we were told no coffee as machine not was working. What is the point of having a menu at start of service has significant parts not available - Complaint to manager drew response that it good if we complained and left a poor review because he said it lets head office know the problems we have Will not return as £100 meal was shambles
