Wonderful friendly atmosphere and good stock of ales. Really dog friendly and a superb landlord overseeing everything and making all visitors welcome.
Always busy and bustling whenever we go. Bar staff are amazing. Great food when it is on. Pizza on Thursday but they often sell out. Special occasion food is worth going in for as Chris is s great chef.
Love The Royal Oak, always feel welcome and beer is always spot on and kept well. Lovely open fire burning and locals make visitors feel like locals.
Great little pub, decent selection of beers and more importantly they had live music on. The group was absolutely amazing. Looking at the posters it looks like they're is something on most nights. Just be aware of parking as there's not much in the area.

I love this pub! The beer is always good, the Landlord is friendly and Dog friendly. It's not a fancy pub, and it's certainly not pretentious. Just a perfect place to stop when we are walking in and near Holmfirth. A local pub for local people that welcomes strangers. Keep up the good work.
