Nice pub, friendly staff and locals. Good offer on cocktails just a shame they don't serve real ale on tap
Nice pub cheap and cheerful very lively the night I went. Nice and close to town centre and beach/pier
We visited the RG today and were very impressed by the help received. We were on a day trip for elderly residents and the staff here utterly made our day. Upon arrival we were greeted and helped into the pub with our wheelchairs. Although they don't have a food menu, the staff arranged for us too collect fish and chips from close by and let us eat in the warmth of the bar. We thank you for all your help today! We would love to visit again soon.
Band was amazing, the bar blonde girlprobably low achieved manager was extremely rude. We couldn’t make up our mind what to drink for 5 minutes and she run out of patience, hurried us up to order drinks and questioned amount of beer we ordered because one of friends was non drinker. I know people can get tired of working during long weekends but no need to be that bitter.
Right next to the harbour, inside it's not the biggest of pubs however the staff are very welcoming and helpful and there are TV's showing current sports events. They also support live music though I can't say how often. The day I visited was a Sunday and the Sun was shining and this is where this pub comes into it's own.... the outside tables and seating area is considerable and surrounded by food and ice cream vendors, location, location, location! If you were having an explore and the weather is being kind this is a veritable oasis for a weary traveller to the town.
Extremely rude thin landlady jumped down our throats about sitting on the outside bench after we had purchased a drink ? She then told us we hadn’t purchased it from her however we purchased it from a much nicer member of staff about 20 minutes before asked us to leave or buy another drink. We went in to purchase another drink and only my friend was served and patronisingly called “babe.” Discussing treatment of customers, will definatley not be coming back. In the wrong buisness if you ask me!
See some top bands here at the Ska festival this weekend great fun
Perfect place to sit outside on a warm day. Bench Tables. Pushchair/wheelchair friendly. Family friendly. It's opposite the water fountains where children can play. So it's a great place to sit and watch them, while having refreshment.
Stopped here for a drink when out for the day in the area, nice and friendly staff and very reasonably priced!
Found this cool little pub on a overnight stay ska and twotone pictures framed around the place. The lady behind bar was friendly and the vibe on a sunny tuesday afternoon was great. Will definately be back for a longer drink soon . Wayne & toni
