Fun place to be for RGS conference. Great facilities and rooms. The garden is amazing for morning and afternoon activities. The catering is quite good. However some of the stuff could use a bit more maintenance for this prestigious building to protect the reputation of the Society.
I am judging this venue entirely due to how userfriendly it is as a supplier. I DO love a loading bay. And this one could not be more convenient. Right behind the venue which is still on an easily accessible main road next to Hyde Park. The room that gets used for dinners is literally just inside the door of the loading bay. So when you have candelabra and large floral displays to handle, this could not be more convenient. Staff if friendly and the collection arrangements were flexible and agreeable to all. Thank you for having us. We would very much love to return
This place is absolutely incredible! So much amazing history in this place, it leaves me so inspired to go accomplish something. I hope I am able to come back for an extended tour.
Made the effort of travelling to London to see the memorial display for Sir Ernest Shackleton, which has free entry and is very accessible. I especially enjoyed the recordings of the sounds of blizzard winds in Antarctica that were playing the entire time that Sally Service Hound and I were there. Sally and I had the place to ourselves except for one other patron. Highly recommended and sadly it closes in early May, so be quick if you wish to see this nod to a very important historical event!
It was such a treat to come here. I've passed outside countless times but this is the first time that I spend a couple of hours absorbing the amazing stories this place has. I came to see the Sir Ernest Shackleton exhibition and it was just incredible. The atmosphere, the narrative, the story and the way my imagination went crazy, thinking about these daredevils and their stories. A well spent morning.
Probably the best venue in London for a day event, a concert, or a stand up show. Or a conference or a product launch. Plenty of character, history, stories, arts and sciences in one building.
I love the spirit of this place. We've been here for events of the Bulgarian cultural institute and they are always outperforming.
Venue for concerts is so atmospheric and warm. Good vibes. We had a good experience over there. Very smart building and interesting to visit for kids and adults because of history!
I visited twice in the space of a week, marking the centenary of Mallory's summit attempt in 1924. On both trips one an exhibition, the other a lecture I was greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff in a fabulous environment.
I am glad a visited a few times the famous Royal Geografical Society. I enjoyed the exposition of some early pioneers of photograpy, the Boissonnas brothers and the Sinai album tracking the biblical places of Exodus.
