Probably the best venue in London for a day event, a concert, a stand up show. Conference or a product launch. Plenty of character, history, intelligence, art and science in one building. Xxx
What a special place, the free exhibitions are good but all the recognition of great geographers up to the members room was inspiring.
From Poland With Love :
We went to a night concert in the theatre room. Good sound quality, and and you're never too from from stage.
A delightful gallery for photography exhibitions.
Great free events, photos here are from Britain from the air. Nice to walk around and has good outdoor space and a cafe too.
Historic building which made a comfortable conference venue. Catering was good and the lecture theatre gave a good view for everyone and good acoustics. A lack of motorcycle parking nearby is a pain in the arse.
I am glad a visited a few times the famous Royal Geografical Society. I enjoyed the exposition of some early pioneers of photograpy, the Boissonnas brothers and the Sinai album tracking the biblical places of Exodus.
