Lovely campsite with beautiful views. Campsite is very spacious with electric and water at each pitch. Very quiet site. Dog friendly. The toilets and showers are very clean but you do have to pay £1 to use the shower for 8 mins. This info isn’t on their website. The office is only open 2pm-4pm so if you arrive after this time and don’t have change, there’s no way of using the showers.nnThe only negative is The cabin with the toilets/basins/showers is very cold. There is an electric radiator in there but it’s only in the bit where the basins are and you’re not allowed to leave it on unattended so a bit pointless. It’s not even warmed up by the time you’re finished. I’d imagine it’s freezing in there in the colder months.nnThere is a lovely little cafe/pub next door who do breakfast/lunch/dinner. Not dog friendly but they do take away.nnWe would stay here again.
Although close to the town centre it’s a fair hick back to the site from anywhere. The site was clean and well lite. However, there was no hot water from the basins in the toilets, there was no water available from the tap outside toilet block, and the recycle/area had no bins. We will not return to this site.
Stayed in one of the glamping pods, everything was clean and as described. Toilet block was also clean and not too far away from the pods, well lit at night. Service was mainly via email but friendly and helpful. Location might not be suitable for all as it's at the top of the Serpentine, but there are taxi's. Fine if you are fit, or trying to be fit like myself. Would come again with family for longer.
Great place for camping situated just above the town of Rothesay. On site facilities for permanent, touring hard stands, and tents. Spotless toilet, kitchen block that also has washing machine and dryer. There's even a restaurant if you feel lazy in the evening. Highly recommended if you like a well run, quiet campsite.
Stayed there 2 nights in one of the pods last weekend. We had such a pleasant stay. Pods and all facilities are sparking clean and handy.nnOur pod was very cosy, perfect for 2 could fit 2 kids too. We had a great relaxing time.nnThe owner is very friendly and of good advice.nnWe will go back!nnDamien
