The Isthmus is situated on the west coast mainland of Scotland and has six delightful camping pods alongside a highly-rated licensed café bistro.

The Isthmus is set just outside the friendly fishing harbour of Tarbert in the transporting peninsula of Kintyre. Our purpose is to create a place where our visitors can connect with the natural space surrounding and a calmer lifestyle. Where there’s time to enjoy the company of friends and family or simply chill on your own company.

The camping pods are totally insulated and heated to provide comfort in all seasons and give you the opportunity to naturally disconnect from the noise and acceleration of the modern lifestyle. However, you will still feel comfortable and at ease. Shared facilities include toilets, showers, self-catering kitchen and a laundry room.

The Isthmus is a multi functional space available also for retreats, workshops, reunions and celebrations. Soon we will publish a calendar of events, activities and workshops for adults, children and families. In Kintyre there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature, you can hire bikes from us and explore the area with the wind through your hair. There are also plenty of sports and activities, tell us what float your boat to signpost you to the right direction and create your perfect holiday in Kintyre.
