Used to be arguably the best Indian in Dudley. However, when I went Saturday night was really disappointed. The waiter seemed to be rushing us, there was a party of 9 in, us 2, and another small group of 4. So wasn't busy. We had to wait while a table was prepared, while we waited be asked so we know what we want we both said want to look, even though I usually have the same thing. When our table was ready, be asked are we ready, we'd only been given the menu 2 mins earlier. when finally ready to order, he didn't offer any water or poppadoms, I had to ask for them, I forgot about the water till we were paying. I didn't have a starter but .g mate did, it came with the main. My makhani chicken while it tasted ok, I wasn't impressed, and my mate, he had one of his favourites, said he didn't enjoy it at all. In fact, he was debating just leaving it and not paying, but he ended up eating half of it. When the bill came, there was a small queue, as the one group was being double charged for their food. Ours came for £19.60, so just handed £10 each and walked out. Will think twice before going here again. Will walk that bit further, and go to twice the spice. As while they don't have makhani chicken, its far superior.
I've been eating at The Rose for years.... NEVER had a bad meal or problem with staff at all.... unlike other curry houses i've been to. The food is always of good quality and they will add or take away anything you ask from a dish to suit you. I love chilli.... but not powdered chilli so they suggested they make a dish with fresh chilli's and no powder.... fantastic.... Well worth a visit.... open later than most others too....
Meal wast too bad not the best though. Ashiques upper gornal is the best Only thing wrong at rose or is there are too many staff in the kitchen laughing and joking whilst your food is being prepared abit discusting really and the fish tanks need cleaning lol
After being highly recommended by a friend, I decided to order from your establishment with every hope of receiving a delicious meal. It was not what I got at all… All I received was what looked like and tasted like a rotten, 3 days old meal which had been covered in powder. My chicken tikka was not marinated nor mildly seasoned but rather chucked around. So please tell me how you can call yourself the "best Balti Restaurant in Dudley" with the "finest Indian and Kashmiri cuisine" when you can't even cook a simple Chicken Tikka? Not only does it not live up to its title, the customer service is appalling. After ringing up and complaining, they offered for a driver to come pick up the meal which I would have been more than happy with yet, I never got a visit from a driver and was still left with that awful meal left in front of me. I will not be using your establishment again and more importantly I will be telling many more of my disappointing experience with you. Paul Guest.
iv used the rose for many years and have all ways found a warm welcome the take away service is brilliant I wate around 35 min on a weekend for a delivery on ariveal the food is hot and very tasty
place is neat and clean hygenic like the food presentation and service
Have been coming to the rose of kashmir for 21 years,and have never had a bad meal,the staff are very polite and friendly.food is great value and delicious,my son and daughter love it and watching the fish.
WORST FOOD EVER!!! chicken tikka was like rotten meat that smelt of a wet dog, best part of the food was the chips would give 0
Very nice friendly place been here many times food is well cooked :- highly recommend
Terribull the driver tried to say he had no change out of twenty note tried ripping me with 7 pound till he pulled change out he's pocket and didn't bring my drinks at 12am still waiting now haha no good to me
