Vegetarian & Vegan Options TAKEAWAY: Vegan Triple Chocolate Cake, Vegan Apple & Almond Cake, Vegan Coconut Cheesecake I didn’t dine in, and only stopped by to get vegan cakes to takeaway. It seemed to be popular among locals who were having breakfast/brunch here. The waitress was very helpful and friendly, happily answered the questions I had about the different vegan goodies they have, and was very accommodating towards my requests. There is plenty of seating – some tables outside and also downstairs I think. The place has a rustic and warm charm to it with mainly wooden interior. The vegan cakes I had were a mix bag. The great thing is that they weren’t overly sweet. The Vegan Triple chocolate cake was average to me as it was quite dry and didn’t have the intense chocolatey flavour I expected. The Vegan coconut cheesecake was good although texturally it was too soft for me, and I really liked the vegan apple and almond cake. I definitely would like to come back again to try their breakfast/lunch.
Very nice selection of cakes and pastries. Vegan and gluten friendly. All cakes are sugar free and is made with coconut nectar. It's fairly pricey for a cake but you're paying for the quality. I think this place has been under rated because people complain about the price but yet not understanding that it isn't a standard cake they're buying. My experience was very pleasant, staff were extremely nice and the lady even offered me to try a slice of cake. I bought the vegan carrot cake and it was amazing!
I LOVE this place! Can't speak highly enough of it. As someone into health and fitness I've been hoping to find somewhere doing healthy desserts keto, paleo, gluten free etc.. for quite a while. Then to find a place and the desserts be absolutely gorgeous, is a real bonus. Some of the nicest cakes I've had, full stop. Also, the owner, Romeo, is a great character and really nice guy. I actually look forward to coming here of a weekend. Enjoy
This place has been great during lockdown. The owner quickly pivoted to delivery, one of the few in the area. Concept is unique, all sugar free, all gluten free and loads of vegan options. Girlfriend is gluten free but I'm not, we both love the pizzas meat and vegan and we've tried about five of the cakes. Yeah some are crumbly but that's what you get with gf bakes! Highly recommend the banana bread and apple cinnamon bakes.
At home, I'm a 99.657% sugar free eater because I can cook by myself, when it comes to travel, you know it's hard to go sugar free when you eat at cool places without eating salad bars at grocery stores every day. Fear not when you are in London because of Romeo's sugar free bakery! I might have ordered way too much but I am not staying long so I want to try as much as I can. Today I got a roasted veggies quiche that come with salad huge portion! I'm in salad heaven now , and a blueberry cheesecake....plus...they have unsweetened almond milk for my latte!! I've never been to any coffee places that carry unsweetened almond milk I hate sugary tastes in my drink, especially in coffee I'm gonna have a happy tummy for my tour later. Definitely coming back again tomorrow to try other baked goods!
Good concept. Sugar less - Great cake that went down a treat at the B day party. Look at the pic..... They do a brilliant choice of food too if you want to eat there. However, ..... sorry no cigar... as their admin stinks. Had pre paid but they were keen to charge me again. Not nice. Would I go there again??? You bet I would.
I really want to like this place more. Super friendly, and I like the concept. However, the quality is inconsistent. Some of their baked goods turn out great, others are so so. Sometimes you get the food a bit too cold. Ordered two flat whites, prepared by the same person, the first one was ok, the second one was not drinkable. It seems that your best bet is to take away what seems to look best. When they do something right it is delicious.
Stopped by for some Sunday brunch and had the Spinach roll and an Almond Croissant, and they were both amazing! Also had some fresh orange juice which was so nice, really added to the tasty brunch! And not to mention the staff serving was very nice :
I went for a sugar free treat and it was exceptional. The triple chocolate cake looked delicious and tasted better. I was intrigued because usually Keto bakery are small bakes made with erythritol which is an artificial sweetener that has a bit of a weird taste but it’s ok in small quantities and this cake was far from tiny. Actually the owner told me that it was made with stevia. Even more surprising was that it didn’t have the typical bitter stevia after-taste secret recipe it seems. I had a very interesting chat with Romeo which is not only an experienced GF, vegan, keto and experimental chef but also a lovely bright soul. While being there many loyal customers dropped by to pick up their usual order and they were all treated as family. This neighbourhood is definitely lucky to have such a place run by a kind-hearted person.
Nice coffee shop pushing the "no sugar" concept. Had the carrot cake which was also gluten free and for a slice was around £4.50 which even for Islington is quite dear. It was ok - I'm not a fan of super sweet cake so it suited me but no idea how many calories were saved by going sugar free. Include 2 coffees and came to £10.
