Poor service the food was awful my pie was burnt the plate was chipped my husbands chicken was that bad he couldn’t eat it so sent it back no compensation offered so £14 for nothing . Our cutlery was just thrown on the table at us. This was a meal with my brother who I haven’t seen for 5 years . It was Embarrassing and at £14.00 a meal I would think twice if your thinking of booking . This pub has gone down hill fast waste of money
We booked a table of 10 for a family lunch last weekend. When I arrived they asked us to sit on 2 x tables of 5, so not off to a great start. Although the roasts are cheap at £9.95, they are not great - unless you like undercooked potatoes and carrots do not come if you like your potatoes crispy on the outside and fluffy. I had 5 slices of pretty much raw carrot whereas the kids portion had way more. Service not great either. Definitely won’t be going back!!
Fantastic meal, great service and dog friendly. We had a party of 11 people, all the food served at the same time. Well worth a visit. Thank you
We went to this pub to try it out as it's our friend's new local pub. We had food, but it wasn't great. My burger was pretty bland, besides the relish that I had to scrape off because it was disgusting! Others complained that the apple crumble was too little crumble for the amount of fruit. The waiter who took our orders made a couple mistakes as well, so not ideal. Also no parking available as the car park has been turned into a garden, so not great. The pub itself was fine though.
Love what they've done with the garden! Great to have a pub with such a nice outdoor space in this area of winchester, really nice feel to it. Would be nice if they had more food options for coeliac, the pizzas can be gluten free but not safe if allergic etc.
It was OK staff were offhand and although thte said they offered small portions they didn't It's roast only on Sunday and it was fine with a good selection of vegetables. They serve the carrots raw intentionally. I don't like stewed veg, but there is a limit We won't go back
Absolutely loved this place. Great location. Lovely staff, very attentive and friendly. Food was outstanding. Really good atmosphere and a lovely experience. Just wish I could have ate it all! It was amazing! :
Nice pub, great location for me as I live very close but the landlord is a pig! Rude, obnoxious and very unfriendly. All the drinks are overpriced, all the food is overpriced and they stick a 10% service charge on for bringing out your food. I walk past this pub now.
Friendly and welcoming pub with excellent food! Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the venue was cosy and comfortable. Good range of drinks, and fast food service. Recommended for a quick drink or bite to eat, or as a venue for a Christmas party
Wonderful garden nicely decorated with lights for ambience, outside TV to watch sport, a lovely deck to enjoy silence. And I am soo disappointed that my birthday is on January. I would like to celebrate it here with my friends, in the outside splendid garden.
