Stopped off for lunch. Friendly landlord, bit of a character, but looked after us and we had some banter. Food was home made and delicious, traditional fayre, pie, fish and chips, lasagne. kids are it all so must be doing something right. There is an outside area that we missed but we put our heads outside and seems ok.
Great little pub. We took some back roads just to get away from the traffic on the dual carriage ways and came across the Roebuck. Stopped in for lunch and a pint and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was home cooked and tasty and the proprietor was extremely hospitable. I could recommend this to anyone.
Isn't open. Hopefully it's sold to someone that will reopen it to someone that'll return it to the heart of the community.
John and Anne very friendly and the home made pies and puddings some of the best that I have had in a long time. A lovely village pub and will use again the next time we go camping.
Me and my group were strangers in the village, but we were made to feel welcome here. Ale was excellent. We didn't eat but the did we saw looked very impressive.
Road out side not suitable HGV or PSV vehicles...in the event you stray up that road ... extreme caution passing parked cars on narrow bends ... passing the pub on your right hand side..you arrive at a T junction...for large vehicles...best to turn left and follow the road to end..
I am the chairman of a camping group which regularly stay at church farm Sixpenny Handley and every time we stay a group of us go the the Roebuck Inn for Sunday lunch John and Anne are always friendly and the food is the best we have ever had in a pub would recommend
