Great location, right in the centre of town. Perfect base for exploring the gorgeous town of Salisbury. Lovely, helpful staff in the hotel. Rooms a bit tired and could do with a lick of paint, but all in all a great stay. We parked in the central long stay car park, just 5 minutes walk from the hotel, which worked well for us.
Lovely pub right next to the River Avon. Shame we were unable to use a large part of it, or any of the garden, as they were short staffed due to "Covid pinging".
It's nice in there but the kitchen staff didn't do well last night I don't know if it was because they were to busy and short staffed. Or maybe the head chef was off. The food was not up to standard. But the manager did everything he could to keep us happy. The food was taken away and dun again.
Our room was a good size, very clean and the bed was comfy. Great location and cheap as chips. Have stayed here a few times and will definitely go back
Good pub. Need more staff. Had to wait 15 minutes to get our order. There was a table of youngsters and they should have controlled them a bit more if that is possible as they were rowdy, jumping on each other and just being a nuisance. But I liked the pub and would be better during quiet times
