The Rod is great, very covid secure and a warm and welcoming fire. Great menu all cooked to order, lovely steak pie and crab sandwich, plus fantastic real ale, wine menu looked good too. This time of year the decorations are lovely makes things very cosy and festive. Can recommend.
I had heard that they do good scallops and crab. sadly crab was sold out when we were there but the scallops in a delicious sauce made up for it, definitely to recommend. They now have several tables outside with a large awning over so, if the weather is nice its very pleasant to sit out.
Fantastic food again!!! Can't knock this pub! Warm friendly welcome, open log fire, great food and drink!
I haven't been to Rod and Line for years. It was a nice day so we sat outside. Our waitress was lovely and friendly and so was the resident pup. The food was nice and fresh and the chips are nice and crispy. Nice way to spend and good hour or so.

Lovely find on the way back from a rained off cricket match. Wonderfully prepared food at a reasonable price, and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
