Would be a five star. But the toilet and shower block let's a lovely holiday park down. Also only has one elsan point which was blocked and no hose to rinse your chemical toilet storage tank. But other than that a really nice park excellent little splash zone that my lad loved, and great play area to keep your kids happy. Definitely be going back. I'm thinking the toilet block will be on the agenda for refurbishment in the near future.

Stayed in one of the new 'Hives' it was superb, lovely and warm and really spacious. The swimming pool was great and staff were really friendly. Didn't use the bar and the building it was in was rather tired but it looks like a lot if work is going on to improve things. The splash park would be fun in summer and the playground was fun. Ideal location to visit Southport (park at ocean plaza for 5 hours for free).

We stayed in our touring caravan for the Easter weekend. The weather let us down a bit but overall we all really enjoyed our stay. Very friendly staff, you have to book a 1 hour time slot for swimming before you go so no spur of the moment decisions. The kids loved the playground. The evening entertainment could be better as not much on tbh. Can't wait to return once the revamp is finished.

The groupon voucher was great value at £99 for 4 nights, upgraded to platinum for £50 more.. But not impressed, OK you get a veranda and towels extra, but to be honest the new caravan was nothing special. We have had better older vans with little extras for less in the past. No bedside lamps, no accent lighting. Perhaps we're just used to the little things,... Total cost for four nights for three ladies £149 +£15 for bedding and £20 extra bedroom. Clean and well maintained grounds. Save your money and go basic . Cos the upgrade is not worth it.

Riverside is a really nice holiday park that my family and I visit numerous times a year. The out door splash zone is fab, the park layout it lovely, the caravans are very nice and always clean. The only thing it now lacks is children's entertainment. They had it spot on a few years ago with day time activities and a great little disco for the kids followed by family entertainment but all that has now stopped for some reason :( The pool could really do with a referbe too. But other than that its a great little park, close to southport so plenty to see and do locally. I recommend a visit for families, couples and singletons. You can even take you dog in the pet friendly caravans (they are still lovely and clean). Great offers on Groupon too!
