We stayed a few days midweek. Pleasantly surprised considering low cost. We booked a family room for the two of us plus our little dog. Good sized room with a separate lounge with chairs and settees. There was television in both rooms. Nice modern bathroom. Easy access to the room by swipe card. Two public lounges. One of the lounges had a singer on the nights we stayed. Bar prices cheaper than some pubs in the area. Some lovely guests. We only had one meal in the hotel, lunch. This was three courses, help you self. The roast beef melted in your mouth. We ate in the bar as we had our dog with us. I definitely will return considering value for money
Ended up here on a Mystery Bus trip. Lovely building. Staff were welcoming and helpful, rooms were clean. Evening meal was OK, nothing to write home about and the gravy was similar to dishwater. Good choice for breakfast which was self service, lots of tables to sit. Bars were nearby. The room was a good size however was really warm, we were on the lower level so unsure if this was the same for all rooms, it was easily solved by turning the radiator down and opening the windows then we could hear the noisiest seagulls we have ever heard Would go again.
I was honestly not expecting too much but the hotel is so much better than we thought it was going to be!nReception and bar staff were extremely nice and very welcoming.nOur family room 4 adults was big and consisted of two separate bedrooms, one double and one twin room and a decent bathroom. Our rooms were also lovely and warm throughout our stay with enough teabags, milk and coffee. Plenty wardrobe space and chairs etc…nUnfortunately we were rudely woken by some loud noise outside at 7am ,possibly a generator? It sounded really loud because we had the window open a tiny bit!nBreakfast wasn’t too bad and the room we ate in was very busy.nThe hotel is in a perfect location for everything and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!
I was invited to have Sunday Buffet at the Prince of Wales today . A most disappointing buffet food offered .nThe roast potatoes were ok but the green beans looked dry and so were the sweet corns .They looked as if they had been out for hours . We were there at the start which was 12:30 afternoon.nnA pity - the beef , the ham , the turkey were not personally carved by a chef and they looked like frozen food.nnService was good .nnNever Again !
We brought our doggo to stay with us. Room was huge great views. Beds comfy and location was perfect. Shall return.
