Lovely and warm. They didn't have chips. I'm sure it would have had great chips. Best place I've never eaten at. Sorry we couldn't stay, thanks for the warm and friendly welcome, would love to stay next time when the young one isn't with us!
The best chips I’ve had since Cornwall! Super friendly and a lovely atmosphere. It’s warm and cozy inside with ample seating and a games room
As I grow older, pubs are becoming a wide source of entertainment for me and my mates. Turning 18 was a big step but a step nonetheless and this place was our go-to as our first landmark as we were finally old enough to drink in here. This pub provides high quality ales, ciders, beers and anything else that you want to quench your thirst for and I will always keep coming back here if I ever need a drink and a sit down.
Spent a couple of evenings here during a recent stay in Glastonbury. The first night I had a wonderful time in front of the fire chatting to the crazy, friendly locals & the second night there was a rockin' covers band playing for free in the function room. Great ale, great service, great premises & great entertainment, best pub in town along with The King Arthur.
Very nice pub, cool staffs and great service, food was delicious, must try their burger, and reasonable price, old style and interesting decor stuffs there. Large parking space, clean restroom.
Recently on the Cask Marque Ale Trail, I arranged to meet friends here for lunch. The accreditation was justified, the Tribute was in excellent condition, although the Butcombe had lost its zest. The lunch that Louis provided was also excellent. The building is somewhat unprepossessing from the outside and the narrow car park entrance needs careful negotiation, but once inside, a lovely Olde Worlde English pub expands out like a Tardis.
Beautiful outdoor seating. Great local pub at foot of the Tor. Good beer selection. Availability of food depends on certain days of week. Live music on weekends.
The food was absolutely delicious..I asked for the best chicken burger and I got it! Very friendly staff, lots of outdoor space to sit, relax and enjoy the good food and local drinks. Very dog-friendly too!
Other pubs need to step it up. Walk in, a welcome greeting Sit down Table service that politely asks if I would like another drink when my glass is about to be empty. Accommodating with a fresh environment, nice country pub vibe. They’ve got the covid situation under control as well. I’m really pleased as a local what the owners are doing. Food looks good too!
By far the best pub in town; friendly helpful staff and a good selection of beers wines ciders and spirits. Rustic; traditional pub with great live music and a good jukebox too! Lovely beer garden with good views and a huge carpark. Ideally situated for the Tor and only a short walk from the town. Good food available and the pizzas are awesome!
