Hade a great experience getting a cargo bike from Craig at ride electric. Test ride by the sea was great fun and he ordered in a gazelle makki just for me to try which I ended up buying. Highly recommended!

Fantastic service from Craig & the team at Ride Electric. We hired E-bikes at the weekend to cycle into Newcastle and were really looked after. Craig came to find us when we got lost before getting the bikes and opened up the shop when we returned late! He could not have been more helpful, the bikes were like new and incredibly easy to operate. A really fun day out and I’d recommend it & Ride Electric to anyone. Huge thank you Craig!
Took an experience ride with Craig, end of March. Great communication and advice during the ride. Understanding was given during our conversation, as to my cycling needs. The Nevo 3 is an amazing bike and surpassed my expectations. I highly recommend this company and staff based on my initial contact with them.
Craig and Victoria saved the day for us this week. Before boarding the LNER train from Edinburgh to Newcastle we had discovered one of the batteries on our Reise Muller Super Charger 2 was not charging! Emailed ahead and explained we were trying to make the ferry for a 4 day route round the Netherlands with 100k plus days - could they help?? A battery of correct dimensions was produced and fitted for a reasonable hire fee and they undertook to return our under warranty battery to Bosch and bring the new one to meet us off the ferry on our return - now that is service! Thank you to the Ride Electric team!!
Excellent value for money and fantastic service support. Hired an e-bike for the Great North Bike Ride 29AUG21. Craig went out of his way to deliver a bespoke service, including lift to the start of the event in Seahouses and meeting me at the end in Tynemouth. Flawless and totally reliable service delivery.
Craig from Ride Electric made such a big difference to someones cycle trip today. I came across a guy from Holland who had unfortunately had an accident on his electric bike just after getting off the ferry. He was on the first leg of a two week cycling holiday with his son and was unable to continue due to a damaged bike part. Ride Electric not only provided the part at short notice from one of their display bikes!, they also refused to accept payment for the part and even called to check the guys got back on the road. Thank you so much for your help! You will be pleased to know Art and Dan made it safely to Alnwick.
Hired a brilliant Scott e bike from Craig at Ride Electric. Had an amazing week and definitely now have the e bike bug! If you haven’t tried one, give Craig a bell - he is very competitively priced and extremely helpful. Only downside for me was that I needed to arrange my own e bike insurance, which wasn’t as straightforward as anticipated. Otherwise, a great experience and highly recommended!
Poor customer service. Called to ask about the possibility of hiring an ebike for my father in law who was to accompany me on a ride. I was asked why he wanted to hire and not buy??? Craig then told me he could not tell me availability in 2 days time and I was to email. I emailed and never received a reply. The company seems more interested in selling bikes than hiring them. If this is their business model I fully understand but they should change there website as it clearly advertises hire of ebikes. Very disappointed for a company operating in a new and upcoming market.
Booked one of their free, hour long ebike experience rides. Firstly, absolutely brilliant staff: very friendly and knowledgeable. Secondly wow - ebikes! What a game changer. Completely adjustable so you can put as much or as little effort in as you choose. Hills? No problem, heavy bags? Give yourself a little boost to even it out. Want to keep up with motor traffic? Yep.
