Saw Hot Water Music here in March. The venue is really well laid out, accessible too in some parts. Seperate bars, very little wait for a drink, as 3 bars were open simultaneously. second stage upstairs, too, but this was being used to sell Merch. Balcony, too, but some visibility restrictions. The sound was great and not too cramped at the front of the venue. The only slight issue was that the floor near the main stage has two levels. As people dance, etc, you felt like some people may trip or fall over. A truly memorable night, celebrating 30 years of HWM. First time visiting Rescue Rooms and will happily visit again.
First gig here and loved it great venue very intimate, bars were busy but efficient the guy in the bar upstairs was chatty and friendly, Gig was ace can't wait for my newxt visit
A good venue for seeing live bands. Some views aren't great so unless you get early to get a good spot and never move you'll be OK. The main floor has a good view but if it's busy and your standing at the side, the view is obscured but a large pillar! The balcony at the back has a reasonable view of the band but the view of the stage is a little restricted by the ceiling, lighting and ticker tape machine. The side balcony view is severely restricted. A good venue but depends on where you stand.
Top place to see live bands. Good smoking/outside drinking area with heaters and cover. Good indoor pub bar. Prices are good and the acoustics are great. Good for loud what I said Good for loud rock music!!
It was my first time seeing a gig here. There are 2 bars - 1 in the main area and 1 in the music area. Music sounded great. You can stand on the ground floor or up in the balcony to watch the bands. It was a bit of a maze to find the bathrooms.
As live music venues go this is quite a nice one. Small but has a well stocked bar and amenities. No seating so must be able to stand for the duration
Small but nice and friendly. Security staff good. Sound quality is ok for a small venue. Bit limited on alcohol selection when we went but prices were fair.
Best club night in Notts and certainly one of the best for live music, in my experience. Great spread of rooms and great spread of consistently fantastic music: indie rock, 70-90s pop, afrobeat and hiphop or house/drumnbass are the main 4 vibes depending on which room you're in. The bands they get are always top quality. Consistently pleasant staff, drinks aren't cheap but still acceptably priced by the standards of most Notts clubs and the smoking area outdoors is a cool vibe. I've also been to the club night about 7 8 times in 2 years and never seen anything unpleasant or bad kick off. Great place.
Small space but has bar inside. Little stage for anyone with disability just give them a heads up. Very professional staff, polite and has nice outside smoking/vaping area with heat lamps. Toilets are other end of venue but not too far. But to crowded for me when at gym capacity but great for shows not sold out as very intimate.
Nice atmosphere and cheap drinks. Bar staff are lovely and willing to take the time to explain the drinks menu. Three main areas to enjoy: one classicy songs, another a millennial dream soundtrack and the last a loud, flashy fever dream. Something for everyone basically. The teapots go a loooooooooonnnnng way and are lots of fun!
