My father was resident at Regency Manor for 4 years on their dementia floor. It's a very homely care home with incredible staff who go above and beyond to make the lives of their residents as enjoyable as possible, even for those with the most advanced symptoms. I highly recommend Regency Manor.
I went for a job interview here a while ago, it was the worst job interview I've ever experienced, they made me wait upto an hour which is fine, I know things happen and care homes can be busy, I was called into an office with other people they had rolling tobacco on their desk, paprrs lighters etc and it was a weird atmosphere, I was so tired as it was directly after a shift at my current job which was leaving and the person interviewing me was just very odd. I left knowing I didn't want the job which was sad as the home was lovely and I met a few residents in the cafe prior to my interview who seemed to really like the home, I think the management were a bit of a clique and if you didn't fit with them you didn't get the job. Hopefully things are better now.
The staff team at Regency are always so polite and friendly. They really can't do enough for us, the visitors or the residents. The Manager Rachel and her team make the place feel are very homely and caring. They are very helpful if the resident wants to do something with their room. The rooms are kept very clean and the food is presented often with a choice. I can't recommend this home highly enough.
I have only good things to say about this care home. In my experience the residents are engaged, active and happy and the staff are caring. Management hold regular resident and relatives meetings and the activities team ensure that all residents, regardless of care need, can get involved. I took a lot of time choosing a care home for my relative and am still pleased with the choice of Regency Manor in Poole, UK.
Regency manor is a lovely welcoming care home which has a bright and welcoming coffee shop which always had music playing. They have a large activities room which has recently been transformed with bubbly activity staff. All the care staff and managers are so friendly and always smiling.
