This place is a cave of wonders for geeks, gamers and nostalgia-heads alike!nnI went for the first time this evening with a small party and enjoyed every second of it. After a certain time during Friday and Saturday evenings only 18+ are permitted, so I suspect the place was quieter in both senses of the word!, not that a busy environment would detract from the experience as there are ample machines and consoles to play on.nnThe theming of the arcade is absolutely gorgeous, and it was exceptionally clean with rubbish bins being replaced frequently and any spillages from drinks my sister may have gotten a little too overexcited on Crazy Taxi! wiped immediately. The drinks were perfectly cooled and adequately priced, I enjoyed my blue slush with glee! I can’t comment on the food as we were too immersed in gaming to try any, but the food that did come out looked delicious and value for money - big portions!!nnThere are a range of machines, from racing simulations, shoot-em-ups, retro games, contemporary 1-player total-immersion simulation games Star Wars themed, an air hockey table, Guitar Hero placed in its own room so you can actually hear the songs - brill!, a DDR machine and pinball - and MORE. A personal fave had to be some Japanese imports with English labelling on the dashboards and Tekken TAG There is also an abundance of console games ranging across various generations with an array of games to play on each.nnWe experienced very minor issues with the machines, less frequent than any other public arcade we were here for over two hours mind you, so plenty of games to test out! and any issues were reported to the member of staff also so lovely and welcoming!! who attempted to fix the machines or reset them. As an arcade enthusiast myself I understand the difficulty in repairing older machines - of all we tried, only one was inoperable the pinball wasn’t loading - this is a common issue with such machines fyi and one of the joysticks on the Japanese 4 player Import machine was a bit laggy, but most likely I was a bit rubbish on that one nnI had no issues with the shooter games - many of these don’t display the crosshairs on the screen anyway so it adds to the immersion of actually aiming. I spent a good half an hour on Time Crisis 3 with no problem and pinpoint collaboration throughout! The one machine that I found tricky to start with was Mariokart - it’s likely this machine has been played to death, so it’s expected, but choosing your character Toad is the best btw and track is still possible and from then on its plain sailing! Regardless, you can clearly see labels from when the machines were last serviced, which was very recent! :nnAll in all, we had an absolutely fabulous time, and I cannot wait to come back next month!! Thank you so much.nnMy only comment for improvement would be to install a pay-per-play to compensate for the prizes of course and sustain the arcade UFO crane machine, but I’m a sucker for those machines and I play too much Yakuza so maybe that’s just me!
Really enjoyed our time at Insanity Gaming Arcade. Great old school arcade games Pacman as well as modern games. Both parents and kids had fun. It'd be great for a kids birthday party noticed they do them All on all a great day had by all. Highly recommend, great value!
Really cool place to hang out, met up with some gaming friends here for a social gathering. Loads of classic games and I love that it's all included in the initial fee so you can game to your hearts content on anything.nnConsoles upstairs set up to play multiplayer.nnFood was cheap and cheerful and plenty of reasonably priced drinks.nnFew machines like the dance machine only worked on one side which was a shame. it could do with a little spruce up but other then that it's a great place.
This is a great place to kill a few hours and go back to the retro days. I would Off like to have seen an Atari, but the original saga master system was fun to see again.nnThere was a few issues with a few games that did not work but still it was a nice visit.nnThere is parking outside but not many spaces, to you can park in smiths toy store and walk the rest, it will only take a couple of minutes.nnThey also do food and drink there too, but I did not try the food, so I can't comment on the menue, all I can say from what I saw it's a nice simple menue and the food did look well cooked.
Great find. Friendly, helpful staff. Good atmosphere. Good choice for family entertainment, the kids loved it. Food was good portions too. Over 2 floors with plentiful choice of games/machines. Well maintained.
