Another nice station of a nice town. 4 platforms for good connections of other destinations specially for London. Big team of staff who ready to help as one helped me. Good service and mostly on time. 3 companies give services from this station ThamesLink, Southern & GWR.
It is a beautiful city with most major business in site just walking distances apart from each other...Lovely place to get all your stuff within arms reach.
This town has changed in the 25 years we have lived here with lots of improvements. It easy train links to the west, north, south and to the east so a great base to get around. Easy access to Gatwick and Heathrow isn't too difficult to get to either.
Redhill station has everything you would expect from a big town rail station - it is accessible, has a fairly big car park with a taxi stand . Inside the station there are accessible toilets. Right outside the station there are many bus stops with routes going to nearby villages and towns and even into Croydon. Lots of restaurants and shops outside too.
Another embarrassing British train station.nnThe connecting train was late so everyone ran over to the other side, the conductor saw us all running, but closed the doors 3 seconds before we all arrived. No apologies, he just said nonsensically over and over “the doors are closed”.nnI stopped using trains last year as they are dire, but unfortunately had to use one today for work. So the learning is try even harder to avoid trains at all costs, especially Southern :-
