Great church with a welcoming environment and deep bible based sermons.
Myself, husband and 6 children have been attending for a few months now and I never leave reviews but I thought I should share what our experience was so others make better decisions. I only wish I did better research before attending we live less than 10 minutes away so it was convenient for us especially with small children. This church has got it all in terms of numbers, ministries and activities sure, but what they lack is true Christ love and compassion. I have found their staff and elders try to lead by instilling a sense of forced fear and felt alarmed at this. It is a VERY cliquey church, you will not feel welcomed, never mind trying to make mom friends!! keep that in mind. Their “greeters” stare you down and not say a word when you enter the church, most not all of them look rather grumpy and annoyed , no smile, no hi nothing …. Why volunteer then? This was the very first sign that I noticed kind of a red flag but decided to not let it bother us, but having the same attitude over and over again … it did become strange . We found the sermons are quite opinionated and distracting because he puts a lot of his opinions in there. It was an awful experience to say the least. This is our first church experience and both myself and my husband are physicians and volunteers in the community we would never treat anyone that way. We decided to try another church nearby and wow what a difference!! We talked to the leaders from the start and told them what we experienced and unfortunately they told us we weren’t the first people to have experienced this at Redemption and we were welcomed and got involved right away! The difference is night and day and I encourage anyone who had this experience or maybe similar to not give up but look for a godly church with people who truly practise what they preach.
A good place of worship. I wish the church members were more interactive with each other. I've been going there for almost 6months and still haven't met anyone, but the message is good.
Warm, caring, and comfortable. Plenty of children's programs and 2 services. Men's, women's, and couples' bible studies offered on Tuesday mornings with childcare, and evenings both in person and online. There is a food bank called the market.
I haven’t been able to attend this church or go out in years due to Covid. And then we moved for work. We came back to visit family and visited the church. The preaching is amazing, greeters were so kind and welcoming, worship was fantastic! Really wish we were staying in town longer so we could come back more.
Loved it! People were nice. My daughter had a great time at the kids ministry.
As many people have stated, this is a church of sound doctrine. God has blessed this congregation with a multitude of talents, which are used for HIS Glory every Sunday. That being said, if you come with an prepared heart for worship and to receive God's Word, you will be truly blessed and will leave longing for Sunday to come soon. Redemption Bible Chapel is an amazing gift from our LORD.
