The atmosphere is off generally down to management being rude. I try to avoid the pub and I'm a villager. The prices are expensive for the food for what you get. It feels sometimes that a child is serving me alcohol from behind the bar, which doesn't sit comfortably with me, other people may be fine with very young under 18 people serving them alcohol.
Perfect country pub, especially for special meet ups... somehow Charlotte, one of the bar staff seems to remember us!!... so will be visiting much more soon... and a big thanks to Jake, the sous chef.... really good to meet youService: 5/5

Great authentic little pub with a nice couple of fireplaces. Would be a good spot to have a nice winter beverage or two. Lovely food!
Found this Gem on the way to Gatwick Airport. Stopped for lunch. Such a lovely friendly welcome when we walked through the door. Fires were lit so lovely and cosy and the food was Homemade, fresh and absolutely delicious Wish we lived closer would definitely be our local. Service: 5/5
Stayed in the B&B accomodation while work was being done to my home, lovely room, comfortable beds, fantastic breakfast, a pleasurable experience and one I would happily recommend.Rooms: 5/5
Fantastic food. Not a huge veggie choice but sufficient and the servings are huge! We were recommended to visit by the campsite we were staying at which was a short walk away and they weren't wrong. We had a lovely meal with attentive service and would definitely go back.Service: 5/5
We've made a point of frequently vising The Red Lyon over the past few months to support local businesses. The pub is lovely and there is a large garden at the back with a children's play area. We visited today and the service was friendly and the food was great. We will certainly be coming back in the very near future.Service: 5/5
June2922- popped in for a shandy on a bright sunny day.. loved the big garden at the back and the pubs own pork scratchings. The menu has a good range if dishes and the kitchens just been renovated so we'll wirth a visit.
Great old pub, nice staff and beautiful village location. I had to take off 2 stars for the price of food. £17 for a burger and chips is a tad over priced.Service: 5/5
