Absolutely wonderful local pub with charming hosts, authentic olde worlde interior, smashing local beers and super food. Recommended by our B&B and we can see why. First rate all round.

Excellent pub. Staff friendly food is really nice, home cooked and fresh. Visiting for four days and went back 3 times. I can recommend , Mac n Cheese, Duck spring rolls, fish and chips, steak and Guinness pie delicious. Nice ambience. Gary is the chef. Would definitely recommend.
Love this country pub Sunday roast is made by the pub manager with love, outstanding! With a lovely family atmosphere…well behaved dogs always welcome. Also have a great garden too.
What a treat a pub with real ambience, lovely staff and great food.. We had shell on prawns & Stilton soup for starters and fish & chips, my husband loves fish & chips and has it every where , and he rated these highly so praise indeed! I had Sussex smokie which is my all time favourite dish when made well & this was made well! We’ve just bought a house up the road we will be back! Thank you
What a lovely pub. We booked in for Sunday lunch we often do and it was amazing, staff great, food great, beer great! so cosy too. The Red Lion never lets us down. Roll on roast season!
