One of the delights of Barnes. Selection and quality of cheeses excellent. Friendly, helpful owners. Forget prepacked tasteless supermarket cheeses. These guys care about quality and flavour.
Outstanding selection of well kept cheeses. Plenty of tapas-style nibbles & biscuits to go with their cheese selection. The best example in the area.
Nothing like creating a cheeseboard with a professional. A huge hit whenever we have a dinner party, i only wish they were open later as i too often miss the windows.
Not as expensive as you might expect from a specialist cheese shop in leafy and aggressively middle class Barnes, and you can get a load of stuff you won't find elsewhere. Also some spectacular looking cheese that was a bit of a talking point at my recent party.
As you might expect, these people *really* know their cheese and are happy to recommend an unusual and tasty cheese board for a dinner party. Lots of free samples make it worth a trip. {PS: not the cheapest, it has to be said]
I love this cheese shop, the ladies are always super helpful and knowledge and they have the best selection of cheese, salami and crackers, plus lots of extra goodies that go perfectly with cheese. You might have to wait a bit, particularly during Covid but it's well worth it.
It's expensive but you are buying quality and cheeses most of which you can't easily get anywhere else. Cheese from here is a luxury item and should be treated as such. I shouldn't let the secret out, but they sell a soft gorgonzola that they spoon into a container for you on Saturday mornings so get there early before they sell out. If you miss out the picante is even better in my opinion. If you are looking for something to bung in your kid's sandwich stick to tesco.
Not a great experience I’m afraid. The two ladies were more interested in closing shop early than serving customers. I found them to be patronising, pushy, rude and unhelpful. Maybe I caught them on a busy day ...
Great selection of cheeses but at extortionate prices, knowledgeable & helpful staff but very pushy to make a sale. Having no prices or descriptions for any of the cheeses means you have to ask how much every single cheese is and what it is which is unnecessary.
Sadly not the best customer experience. Felt like every question I asked was a chore to answer, not helpful or forthcoming at all. A real shame because as a cheese lover I would be happy to provide the business, however not in a shop where you feel unwelcome.
