Specialist cheese shop situated in the Pimlico area of London.

Story

We opened the store at 26 Upper Tachbrook Street in 1990. Since then, we have been supplying top quality cheeses from all over Europe, to many restaurants, businesses and retail customers both in London and further afield via our mail order sevice. The extensive range covers 500 types of sheep, goat and cows milk cheeses from Europe. Wholesale orders can be arranged for next day delivery.

After 21 years in business, the shop has now been completely refitted over the last 18 months; we have a new sophisticated temperature controlled atmosphere which provides the perfect environment for the cheese to be stored. In addition, the basement is being refurbished to create an incredible tasting room, along with maturing rooms in the pavement vaults. These are accessible by invitation and allow customers to choose cheeses in the different stages of maturity, for a unique experience. These are to be opened later in 2012.

Rippon Cheese Stores offers the food lover, chef and caterer the ideal environment to view, taste and discuss the cheeses with knowledgeable staff.

There is a lot of different kind of chees and all is individual testing so excellent. She is very nice to us and really knows what you want. You should try these amazing cheeses.

Another reviewer described this as an Aladdin's cave of cheese. That is a perfect description, particularly as it's hard not to want to buy everything in the store. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable, we didn't know where to start but they helped us pick out some cheeses that met our budget and taste buds while giving us some tasty morsels to try too! Will definitely be back.

So many varieties of cheeses And helpful staff. Founded twenty five years ago it is the only major specialist cheese shop in the Victoria and pimlico Westminster area. Located 5 minutes walk from Victoria and pimlico stations.  They have over 500 different cheeses from around Europe. With biscuits pickles and various jams.

This place is an Aladdin's cave of cheese. Unassuming from the street, once you step inside you can choose from over 500 cheeses. They seem to specialise in cheeses from the United Kingdom & Europe, particularly France. Why not. So don't expect to find a huge selection from other countries. But what they do have are excellent anyway, so why would you need to choose from elsewhere. Lovely, knowledgeable staff too.

You will find an excellent choice of unusual cheese in this small store. The experienced owner is usually there to share his vast knowledge with customers. Visiting Rippon Cheese Stores is a treat for anybody who enjoys buying and eating the very best cheese. Highly recommended.
