I was struggling with old floor standing speakers and wary of making the wrong decision when replacing. Rayleigh Hi-Fi were recommended by a friend. They were excellent from start to finish! Took time demonstrating a number of different options in their sound room, not rushed, no bias just a keen interest in getting it right for me. Ray was excellent. I ordered new speakers and they were ready to collect a few days later. All now set up at home and happy.
I have been buying my HiFi equipment from Rayleigh HiFi for over 30 years. When I started working and became interested in listening to quality music reproduction. The staff are very knowledgable and give honest advice to suit you requirement. They stock a good range of products to suit all pockets.
Had an issue where speaker cable wasn't long enough after buying some new equipment, The cable is behind the walls in the floor so was a real pain. One call they pulled up my order from 10 years ago found what cable was used on the original install, sourced some of the cable and built me a high quality extension within 2 days. Amazing customer service!!!
Rayleigh Hi-Fi are an excellent organisation dedicated to the enjoyment of music. They stock a very wide variety of equipment to suit all pockets. Their customer service is second to none. Always highly knowledgeable, friendly and willing to help and never impatient nor pushy. They are real enthusiasts who take a genuine interest in helping you get the very best sound available. In recent months Ray and Dec in the Rayleigh branch have helped me rebuild my system and are a pleasure to work with.
Great service, really helpful staff. Dec spent time taking me through everything start to finish, no rush and super easy for a beginner to understand. Would recommend to all!
Unfortunately I have to write this negative review. My £700 Denon receiver failed. When the receiver was returned as fixed it didn’t perform as before. I paid for the machine to be set up by them but when it was returned they didn’t set it up again and in my opinion it has never been right since. Due to the staff attitude, from experience with them, Rayleigh Hifi were unsupportive and dismissive I know I will get nowhere if I call them again. So I just think you should know about there after care. FYI.On returning the repaired unit the engineer did not do a set up! When I asked why it looked different and all of the quick select buttons no longer worked I was told ‘it has been programmed differently. If it was set up properly I should not need a tutorial to adjust the sound! FYI. I no longer use the ‘All in one’ remote.
I have a pair of Naim Allaes, of which one of the tweeters had blown. I took them to Rayleigh Hi-Fi and after some communications with Naim they told me that these were no longer made. Larry contacted me and said he is on the case to get them repaired. They lent me a pair of speakers over Christmas, while Larry constantly kept me updated with progress. He managed to spend a lot of time reengineering an upgraded tweeter in both speakers which now sound absolutely phenominal. Thanks Declan and Larry for all your time and work spent. Very, very appreciated.
I recently contacted the Rayleigh branch to ask if they could service my Linn turntable, which I had originally purchased from them back in 1990. They were extremely helpful and said that they could service it on site, so I took it in. I received a phone call from Larry who had looked at it and he advised me of the condition and what was needed to be done and was very thorough and helpful. They did a fantastic job, it’s as good as new, they breathed new life into it. The service was very fairly priced and I whole heartedly recommend them for new purchases and repair/service work. This was a great customer experience which is sadly a rare thing these days. Well done Rayleigh HiFi. Martin Marley - Southend
What can I say... Ray & Joe in the Rayleigh branch were amazingly helpful, kind & patient with me. Having recieved very mediocre servce or lack of it elsewhere, they have now gained a customer for life!. Loving my new turntable and while it was a lot of money for me, I know it's not a massive sale for you guys, but you never once made me feel like I got anything except your best attention. I WILL be back in a while when I have saved for my next addition. Never going anywhere else!! Again, thank you for the amazing service Regards Andy T
Really helpful. I specified white speaker's, my manager at home changed my mind for me and said black. It was not an issue for Chelmsford Branch to change them at all. Happy to recommend them.
