Visited the Ram Inn for a family meal. First time visiting and will definitely be back! The staff were lovely and so helpful. We was a table of 10 and the service was great. The food was amazing. We all had the roast dinner and all of us couldn't get over how tasty it was! Would highly recommend! Really good portion sizes as well.
Absolutely loved the visit we had at the ram today! All staff ever so friendly. This is a warm pub with open lit fires, dog friendly and beautifully decorated to keep us customers comfortable! Menu was absolutely amazing, could taste every ounce of quality and effort from the busy chefs and the staffs service only enriched the experience further!!
Loads of space outside for parking and sitting. Looked to have a good beer garden and children’s play area. Plenty of choice for places to sit inside. No complaints about anything but also nothing to get overly excited over. Korean Vegetable Gyoza for starter. Scampi and Burger for mains. Decent pub grub at a reasonable price. Would use again if passing but would not make any special plans to visit again. Hence the 3 stars.
We had a 3 course Festive Lunch. We all enjoyed our food - very good. The man looking after our table was very attentive. He even offered us more Yorkshire Puddings and gravy. Would really recommend their Festive Menu.
Unfortunately I wasn't impressed - arrived and was seated, and as an event was on, we ordered drinks on the app - then we were asked to order meals with the staff at the table, and did so. Service was good and food was nice, but we struggled to order dessert as had to find staff to order with, and further struggled to get the bill. When we tried to pay at the bar as we had ordered direct we were told to join the drinks queue. Having paid and when leaving, we were asked "have you lot paid" and unfortunately I was too far ahead to make comment. Being directed away from the app, where we could have ordered and paid and not had to fight for the bill or to pay it, seemed odd on a busy event night, and the ending to the night didn't leave a good impression of the site or brand.
Used to enjoy this place however when last there the menu had changed. No prices on the menus. I asked the staff and was told that the lunch menu started at £7 and there was additional costs on some items that was indicated on the menu. The main menu had no prices except for it saying £11.99 for 2 courses. No indication of what 1 course would cost. If they can't even get a menu correct then there's not much hope. We left and went to the White Bull in Oswaldtwistle, which is superb!
Lovely spot, looked very inviting to call in for something to eat. The fish was over cooked on the fish & chips with hardly any fish in the batter & the fish pie was just ok but the veg served with it was cold. Didn’t want to make a fuss but was offered a drink on the house when the plates were being cleared.
Menu didn't have anything I really wanted. A lot of burgers! I settled for roast turkey dinner. It was smothered in gravy which I don't like. Children got their meals with gravy in a jug without asking. Why wasn't this the same for adults? The turkey tasted like cardboard. I had Eton mess for dessert. There were two tiny pieces of fruit. Otherwise it was basically ice cream with raspberry sauce,which to be fair was very good, abd a few marshmallows with a bit of meringue. My son had roast lamb and his partner had roast beef. No complaints there. I'm not a complainer usually but but I was diappointed once again by the Ram Inn. The plus side is that the prices are reasonable.
Nasty overcooked/burnt food and the chef screaming and swearing at his staff from the kitchen wasn't great either!! Wouldn't recommend!!
Very poor. Mushroom and 3 cheese Brushetta starter... £5.50????a few mushrooms on soggy bread/toast mushrooms smaller than my little finger nail disappointing
