Friendly local pub.. little beer garden/smoking area.. can't remember this pub not being here tbh.. up the prettier end of B wood, near the train tracks.. it's a nice pub, if you're passing, drop in!

Brilliant quiz night. Great mid week night
Have just completed 18 months running this pub and if I had taken any notice of the bad reviews written about it on other sites I would never have stayed. I found the regular customers to be honest hardworking people. They love their sport, are very sociable and friendly. I am leaving for personal reasons, nothing to do with the pub or the customers and will miss them very much. I am leaving behind a lot of friends. I hope this review will encourage people to pop in and see for themselves, they will be made welcome, enjoy a good pint.
The butterfly has been my local for as long as i can remember and even worked there for 18 years! Its a lovely local pub clean friendly and the the staff are lovely.worth a visit if your in the area.

THE ROYAL BUTTERFLY IS A GREAT PUB NICE AND CLEAN ALL THE CUSTOMERS ARE FRIENDLY AND GREAT STAFF ITS GOT PLENTY OF SPORT I KNOW ITS NOT GOT A LOT OF ENTERTAINMENT BUT OVER XMAS AND NEW YEAR WILL HAVE SOMETHING ON THERE IS BATTLE OF THE BANDS ON IN DECEMBER
