Probably the best roast dinner I have had since I lived in Sussex. Not only good portion sizes but all the trimmings as well. We were there after celebrating my birthday the previous night and we were hungry. Staff were first rate and there was a nice atmosphere apart from one lady who had a very loud facetime call. However, did not last too long and felt no need to leave the place or move as I have had to recently in another eatery in Worcester. The food was prepared with attention to detail and presentation was excellent. We arrived with no booking and were seated within a few minutes. I also noted great outside seating and bar area. Overall, a great experience. One funny thing though, my mate ordered roast chicken but got beef but due to the quality of the roast beef it became a happy accident. Lol.
Went to the railway for a friend's 99th birthday party. The attention given to the birthday "boy" and the kindness shown were second to none. Alison landlady also cooked Tom a Xmas dinner and delivered it to him on the 25th and sat with him for a while. We went to say thankyou a few days later and were promptly invited to sit down and Tom was encouraged to sing for the crowd. Pubs like this are a rarity and should be treasured, as should the staff who make it such a fantastic experience
It was a dissapointing Sunday 30th birthday lunch on 12th Feb 23. We were very impressed with the young man who single handed had to serve at the bar take meals and drink orders and serve the food. This however led to long delays. The meals came out in batch's of 4 or 5 with long delays in between and as such the people with the first batch had finished eating before the last meal was served. My Pork roast consisted of just two, one millimeter thin slices of pork... Really small potion. The vegetarian pie had pastry that simply couldn't be cut at all, and what looked just one unidentified veg as the filling. Overall very dissapointing. We did point out the issues at the time and simply got a verbal apology. Over £200 poorly spent.
We were Welcomed and i had the lasagna my husband had the fish lovely presentation excellent quality . Found it clean and the staff lovely .we have tried other pubs in the location but the railway comes out tops we will return and soon .Location: 5/5
Nice pub with a pool table and outdoor seating. Dog friendly and range of beers/ ciders on tap. Food was good and the friendly bar woman was doing a great job by herself.Service: 4/5
Location of the restaurant is value for money. However the food taste is very average. Nice hangout place with friends .
Very welcoming and dog friendly, food great, freshly cooked and very tasty. Menu was for starters and mains, including a vegetarian option, a light bite menu was not seen. Local ales served, sampled and approved, along with the usual range of alternative alcoholic beverages. Good outdoor seating area both open and covered. Small car park, very clean toilet gents, a good benchmark. Can happily recommend stopping off here.
Nice atmosphere. Friendly and welcoming staff. Very tasty food. All home cooked from scratch. Burgers are delicious. Steak cooked to perfection. Desserts to die for. Would highly recommend.
Haven't tried the food yet but a lovely proper pub. Friendly staff and cheap drinks will give it 5 stars after we've had a meal here!Rooms: 5/5
We didn’t stay here but we did have dinner twice, both times were equally as good with great food, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Cooking homemade food goes a long way and it really does show. Give this a try I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.Service: 5/5
