Today I had a dinner in this pub with my best friend who highly recommended this place. And she was absolutely right! Busy, cozy and warm pub. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I ordered lasagne and chocolate tart with an ice cream, it was absolutely delicious. Open garden with few screens and more screens inside. Love the design and the vibe. I definitely will come back there as I live local.
Superb boozer. Cracking range of beers, great staff and lovely grub. What more do you want?!?!? Brilliant.
Good size outdoor area with seating and many TVs to watch the game. The food is very average here.. my chicken burger was overcooked and quiet hard and lacked mayyo sauce. The fries are not that good they are tasteless. Service is abit on the slow side. Seems to be an okay pub but not for food.
Better than your average Greene King! Always 4 lines of proper craft beer on tap in here plus some interesting cask. Nice big beer garden with cover and heating + TVs. Staff here are really enthusiastic about sport and keep the vibe going on big game days. Heard good things about the food too! Thumbs up to the team
This a fantastic local pub. The staff are friendly and welcoming and there's always a good atmosphere. The drinks are fairly priced for a good quality pub. The food is great also. I have tried most of the menu but the mix and match plates are great value for money. The sliders are lovely but my favourite has to be the chicken wings which I have often polished off a kilo to myself with hot sauce and fresh chillies and spring onions.
Started going into the Railway Bell for the first time recently on karaoke night. Had an amazing night and the staff were amazing. Have gone in for a drink countless times since, everyone is extremely friendly and the food and drinks are great. They have an amazing garden so even if it’s raining you can sit outside. Definitely the best Greene king pub I’ve been too and would 100% recommend.
A decent sized pub with a nice beer garden. The staff are great and there's a varied selection of drinks and food. The pub does get very busy during sporting events, and during these periods, the majority of the patrons are in great spirits and very friendly, but there is sometimes a sense that a very, very small minority are one accidental spilt pint away from wanting to fight somebody.
Ross and his team are great ‘ambassadors’ for the pub welcome. I have been using the Bell for 10 years and is always a welcome sight when you come off the South Woodford tube which is directly opposite. Most of the staff are ‘long servers’ consequently they know what all the regular’s drink. All the top sports are shown through the day and evening but are not intrusive on conversations.Unless it’s a big match of course. A lively pub for food and the garden adds a fabulous distraction from the ‘fast flowing’ environment nearby. Plenty of ‘free parking’ nearby but make sure you put the ticket on clear display. One for the note book as part of your day out to our ‘neck of the woods’
Awesome well run local pub with fantastic, friendly staff - always made to feel welcome. Had a great time visting in December for the world cup, christmas eve and new years eve - great atmostphere everytime! Look forward to popping in again soon.
Came here on Saturday & ordered the 3 small plates between 2 of us for £14-Burger sliders were superb, excellent value…Good atmosphere & really friendly staff
