Everything you could need. Useful coop for shopping, art gallery and Welsh history museum. Well serviced by rail
Machynlleth has been a useful station in the past with trains to Pwhelli, Aberystwyth, Birmingham international, Shrewsbury and Barmouth. However sometimes when trains are delayed it can be a problem because the trains to Pwhelli and Aberystwyth split here but sometimes they can’t separate the trains which results in one service being cancelled and one going on. However, this only happens rarely
Amazing staff same as young cleaner on train helped me get my phone back Laura on ticket counter was great
A pleasant station with trains calling to go to destinations such as Aberystwyth, Shrewsbury, Birmingham. The station has bicycle racks, a ticket office, café and waiting rooms.
Despite huge travel problems, no trains onwards and a snow fall, staff here were excellent! They ensured there was onward coach travel, and on my return the coach back all the way from Pwllheli connected to the one train, that runs every two hours. Hard working and efficient staff, thank you. Pretty, well kept station too!
Nice little station with helpful staff in one of most beautiful areas on the planet
Was facing a 2hr wait at machynlleth station to get to Tywyn , because of mix up of platform number in Shrewsbury station. But Jeremy and his fellow rail staff member offered to drive me to Tywyn, it was a gesture very very much appreciated and I was so grateful to them. Thank you
It's a station that gives announcements that are the direct opposite of reality. "Train at platform 1 is for Pwllheli, use front two carriages" - when the train was actually at platform 2 and rear 2 carriages. Utterly useless and confusing place.
Staff amazing and very helpful
Helpful staff but often rail replacement buses on Sundays due to problems with signals or the lines.
