Our stay in Dolffanog Fawr was PERFECT!. Not only the owners were helpful and welcoming, they also went far and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Their place has a homey feeling without loosing any details, its like a five star hotel-home. We loved it. The rooms are spacious, clean and tidy. The views are incredible and the breakfast was outstanding.
Our stay was PERFECT! The owners Alex and Lorraine were helpful and welcoming. They gave us very good advice for walks and restaurants. The rooms are spacious, clean and tidy. The views are incredible and the breakfast delicious!
Everything you could want or expect in a guest house. Good food, nice atmosphere, well furnished/equipped, and a nice lounge area. The hosts were exceptionally helpful with changing our booking at the last minute, and helping us sort out bookings at restaurants for dinner.
Every single nice thing in all of the other 5-star reviews is true! In addition, we were jet-lagged, hay-fevered, and caught head colds due to our first 4 days in Cardiff before coming here. We came specifically for the Mach Loop. We didn’t feel well enough to leave the B&B. So, we purchased the bag lunch from our hosts delicious!, and kept an eye out of our room’s front window. We were treated to Hawks pulling full 90-degree hard left angle of bank turns a few hundred feet out of our window while enjoying lunch and recuperating. Given the circumstances, couldn’t be better!
Very pretty quiet location with great views. Everything was spotlessly clean, fresh and tastefully decorated in keeping with the period house. The hosts were friendly and helpful without being in your face. And the Breakfasts... Just fabulous. I would thoroughly recommend the breakfast trifle as a starter to the main cooked full Breakfast. The best B and B breakfast I have ever been served. There's also a well stocked honesty bar with top quality drinks at reasonable prices, a lovely lounge with library, woodburner, magazines etc. And a hot tub with views of Cadir Idris.

Just got home from a perfect break. The location is stunning, the rooms are lovely & spotlessly clean. Alex & Lorraine are fantastic hosts, from the minute you arrive it feels like home, so welcoming. Breakfast & our pack lunch was lovely.. wish we had booked for longer.. we will 100% be going back. Many thanks from Angela & Iain x
Lovely B & B. We stayed for two nights and Alex and Lorraine were lovely hosts. Food very good had an evening meal one night which was excellent. Breakfast also very good with a cooked breakfast and an additional contintal style as well. Rooms very clean and contemporary with stunning views. Weather was poor when we visited but scenery is still stunning.
Great hosts beautiful place. High quality bedding, towels, rooms and food. Can't fault it at all.Rooms: 5/5
We are a group of wine lovers who spend a boozy weekend here every year. Alex and Lorraine are excellent hosts, he as front house and she as brilliant cook. This property is beautifully located and very comfortable. Highly recommended.
