Excellent location, nice and peaceful, excellent views staff always been friendly when visiting. Scenery only enhanced with the unexpected snowfall! Rooms have excellent views of the lake Food is excellent, but best to book! Has always been full if passing on a whim to get a table. Would be nice if they could get the eV charger working as it's a bit of a nightmare finding a place to charge in this neck of the woods!
Lovely Hotel set amongst the mountains of Wales. Modern contemporary rooms over looking the lake. Ate in the restaurant two nights and the food was of a good standard. Staff friendly and happy to help with any queries. Would recommend.Rooms: 5/5
We stopped here for lunch on a spectacularly rainy day during the Easter break, we're regularly in the area and this wasn't our first time. Lunch was great, everybody enjoyed it but the whole visit was made all the more splendid by the girl who served us, Catrin?. Her interaction and patience with our disabled son was wonderful and she's a great reflection on this beautiful hotel which even in torrential rain is a beautiful place to pause. Wish we came across more waiting staff like this, thank you.
A real gem of a hotel. Very welcoming with great caring staff. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. With amazing lake views. Food is fabulous and the beers and drinks are excellent. Look forward to returning.Rooms: 5/5
Such a lovely place. Beautifully set out and decorated. Lovely clean feel. Nice small bar with decent drinks selection. Nice evening menu and breakfast was delicious Rooms: The room wasn't massive and there is technically a mountain view if you look past the rest of the hotel obscuring it or dangle out the window to look sideways. There is no seating in the room, so you are on the bed or standing. But the bar/lounge/restaurant is nice to be in, so why sit in your room?
We have started going this summer for lunch with a group to celebrate retirement. We were in the conservatory on our own. We let off the popper and were laughing loudly. The staff let us carry on and closed the conservatory doors. The food is excellent. The waitress was new and was on the ball. It was her first day. It has a lovely atmosphere always full and got to book. Today returned with my neighbour. Very busy. Manager working with the staff. The restaurant overlooks the lake and mountains. Beautiful location. You can stay at this hotel. Cadair Idris Is about 3 miles away to start the Minffordd accent to the summit. Ideal for walkers very comfortable place to stay and eat and have a pint if desired. This is a smaller ,friendly hotel.. Has an out side undercover bar can have food. Can have food across the road and sit with picnic tables by yhe lake. Highly recommend
An overall superb place. I can certainly advise staying and eating here. There are some minor things that could be improved, but they are minor e.g. room was very warm, with no obvious control, WiFi didn't work in room, Coffee served in flask at breakfast buffetRooms: 5/5
Well what to say. This hotel is amazing. Fantastic location. Amazing room. Extremely friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful food. Excellent value for money. Already booked to return in 2023. Would highly reccomend. 5*. Andy & Gayle...Rooms: 5/5
Wonderful little place with stunning views out of your bedroom window. Food was devine steak cooked beautifully, room was perfectly good enough but calling it a Double when it's 2 beds pushed together, held there by big sheet, that both move too easily on wheels when you lean against the headboard isn't ideal.Rooms: 4/5
One of the best places to stay in Snowdonia. Great food, drink, staff & rooms. Stayed here 6 times over the past few years and will be back next month! Walkability: At the foot of Cadair Idris, plenty of other walks nearby also. Food & drinks: Good selection of restaurant quality main meals. Selection of drinks ranges from well known brands to locally made.
