This service has caused me more issues than it has helped, the manager Scott Ayres sent out a client’s personal information to me and has failed to help with a complaint regarding another member of staff. The lead Clinical Psychologist has been on long term leave and no one ever gets back to me. I was incorrectly diagnosed by two psychiatrists who saw me together after two, hour long sessions but I have had no therapy and now I am tarnished with a label on my medical records which has changed the way doctors talk to me. I was told that this would be removed but it is still there. I have been on the waiting list for 18 months this time round after dropping off their list before whilst waiting for a year. Once again, I have emailed and called and no one ever gets back to me. This service is a disgrace, the people that need therapy the most and can't afford to go privately are treated appallingly. I am lucky as a therapist myself to have tools and techniques that I can use, however I cannot talk to myself about my mental health and past trauma. We all need someone to hold a safe space for us when processing certain experiences. I wonder how all the other people who have been through horrific experiences which haunt them today deal with things when they don't get any help from you? This service needs to be reworked and made efficient for services users, I am aware of financial restraints but this is down to more than money this is pure negligence.
Can't be trusted and don't bother helping when you contact them and leave messages. Goes ignored! If you don't understand the work they give you they'll kick you off the group sessions. Numerous patients have issues with this place; it's an embarrassment. All the good workers there have ended up leaving. Don't mention anything personal to Scott Ayres most useless manager ever. Leave you ignored for months before sending letters out etc started off good there and by the end of it they've made my mental health ever worse! Yet, they allow these people to continue working, giving out your private details. P.s responded to make a complaint and your main boss decided to ignore my issues and defend the person despite him having numerous complaints
The woman I saw at STT IN Queensway, Milton Keynes was a complete fraud and lied to me and to her manager - at that time before her manager retired for about 2 years and I'd been making slow positive progress on my own up until seeing her and finished up wishing I was dead after seeing her. The last day I saw her, as she turned her back towards me and began walking away, she said to me, "hum, what you need to do is cry". That was her professional advice to me! If that was the answer to fixing my chronic OCD, Depression and Trauma - then I'd have been healed years ago! I put in several complaints about her behaviour after about a year but I believe her colleagues binned them so that her manager "A.M" would not see the complaints. When I finished with her, I put in an official complaint about her that I was advised to do by a support person and as expected, she refuted everything and told blatant lies. I believe she was investigated by her own colleagues or people within her company, that totally defended her and performed some kind of kangaroo investigation or to be fair - NO INVESTIGATION AT ALL and "considered the matter closed!" What chance do people like me have? It was a last chance for me to get help and this woman got paid to do nothing for me except make my life even worse. She did not possess the skills to help me. She totally lacked any kind of organisation and simply was devoid of any kind of plan. Every time I asked her to help me with a specific issue, she just put her head down, went quiet for a while and totally ignored me, then changed the subject - causing me to forget my issue and interrupted it with something else - which was very easy for her to do, as I hardly ever sleep and lose my focus and concentration. And there's not a thing I can do about the lies and lack of any kind of professional treatment that I received from her. She was up for a disciplinary hearing and phoned me on that Friday night and throughout that weekend crying and coaxing me to write a letter stating how good she was - so as to save her from being sacked and like a fool, I felt sorry for her and wrote it - which saved her job. She helped edit the letter over that weekend. I did it for her, as I'd hoped she could help me with my issues but after she walked from her hearing and kept her job, she went on the turn and showed her true colours, as she'd got what she needed from me to keep her job. More fool me! The problem was, that I did not want to have to see someone else and go through the trauma of opening up and revealing what had happened to me as a kid. The real thing that hurts, is that she got me to initially trust her and so I reluctantly opened up and told very private things that I'd endured as a boy and she abused that. That to me is criminal!! She knows she's a fraud and a liar, as I know she is. I believe that in the end, none of us get away with anything and that we have to pay for the things we do in life - and that's what I trust in. I see how these so-called 'professional' people with their degrees and diplomas etc can basically get away with anything. Let's face it, who's gonna believe a cockney like me, with little education and with 'mental health issues', over a person like her? People like me with 'mental health issues' are frowned upon and made to look like we're 'non-people'! Like we're crazy and dangerous. No one takes us serious! We're just guinea pigs for these psychiatrists and psychologists to experiment with and get paid lots of money - and in my case, to no avail. At the end of the day, they can say anything they want about us and authorities and others will take their word for it. THEY ARE DANGEROUS - especially to people like me that speak out about them. They can make make up anything they want and can even get us locked up FOR NOTHING! All I wanted was to be free from the horrors that have haunted me all my life! She has left with only one hope, and that is for me to go asleep and not wake up! My advice is to beware of these charlatans!
