Traditional London pub. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Food is good pub grub - Scampi and chips and my partner have a Fish fingers sandwich both very nice. Pleasant and friendly pub.Food: 4/5
Stopped by after arriving at St Pancras. Quality little pub on the corner near a small park. Friendly barkeep with some great knowledge of the offerings. Had three different beers on cask and they were all perfect temperature and delicious!Service: 5/5
Absolutely delightful old pub, beautiful interior, really cosy and homely. Three polite and friendly guys behind the bar, four real ales on the pumps and a little telly showing the news channel, which I think adds to a pub these days, but they need to turn on the subtitles! Great mix of people, two chaps playing chess, a little Indian crew, some old geezers, friends, couples.. One request, please get some good wines in! Even if they're still basic ones, go up in quality a little, as the reds were really quite awful! Look forward to my next visit to this charming place.
Super tiny "L" shaped pub. Staff and punters were all friendly. Super dog friendly bar. Heated outside seating. Great decor. Fresh flowers on all tables. The landlord and Landlady were lovely. Would go regularly if I was able.
A friend and I from the States, recently visited this small neighborhood pub! We loved how friendly and cozy the vibe was in there! The locals and bartenders were so welcoming and friendly, and we quick to fill us in on the history of the pub and the old neighborhood! The bartender Johnny was the star of the bar! He was very friendly, fun to watch behind the bar and very well liked by the locals. He made sure to give us a rememberable time while we were there visiting! This is 1 of 2 pubs we visited more than once during our visit, to London! I highly recommend this place is you’re looking for a real local feel, with people who take pride in their neighborhood!
Lovely quirky interior, food and drinks fine. Nice crowd but sullen barwoman. Disappointed as this place came highly recommended. It was busy but a greeting, a thanks doesn't go amiss. I've worked in bars and the basic is making customers welcome.
A great little pub, well out of the wayfrom the usual tourist rabble. I was there a little early for food at 12pm, but the barman was great for a chat and a quick pint.Service: 5/5
Great little pub. Nice selection of beer and wine, we didn’t try anything else but there was more. We went there two nights in a row, loved the place and the ambiance!!Food: 5/5
We held our post-wedding get-together with friends here. It was ideal. We stayed for four hours! Friendly, helpful and attentive staff, and solid, no-nonsense pub food, in a building built in the 1700s, on the south-eastern corner of Queen Square, London WC1. What's not to love?Food: 5/5
Very old circa 1710, allegedly, traditional pub; a very small ground floor bar, out front seating, and an upstairs lounge. Very friendly staff and locals some of the latter a little too tipsy on a Saturday afternoon at the time of our visit and a cosy environment. The pub’s name refers to Queen Charlotte, wife of ‘mad’ King George III. Apparently she rented a small cellar beneath the pub where she stored some of the king’s favorite delicacies whilst he was being treated nearby for his illness. A good range of well kept ales I had Timothy Taylor Landlord and also a decent gin selection. Highly recommended.
