The Queens Head is exceptional! The menu is excellent, traditional, rustic food that hits the spot. I had chicken and ham pie and I couldn’t fault it! The vegetables were cooked perfectly and the presentation was done with such care and attention to detail. The staff were lovely and looked after us very well indeed. Can’t recommend our lovely village pub enough, oh and the atmosphere was buzzing!
I heard great things about The Queens Head, particularly for their roast dinner - it certainly did not disappoint. We were really well looked after even after turning up 30 mins late for our table - so sorry again about that! and the table that my friend and I were sat at was great too. I ordered the pork roast & my pal ordered the S&P squid followed by the roast beef - we both walked away very full & saying the same thing - that was possibly the best roast dinner we have eaten out! The portion sizes were ample, everything seasoned perfectly and great flavours with each element. I mentioned when I booked the table that I was Gluten Free - the Yorkshire pudding and cauli cheese was amended accordingly which was a lovely surprise as you usually just dont get them on your plate at all - so thank you very much for that! All in all a great roast & will 100% be returning.
What a find, had the best Sunday Lunch I think I have ever had today!! Big portions, wonderful rare roast beef. Plus very child and dog friendly. Will definitely be going back again soon - heard there is a new menu soon. Kid-friendliness: We had a 9, 6 & 3 year old today. The staff were super helpful. Plus we did not feel out of place with the 3 of them at all.
Regular visitor, good beer and wine selection helpful friendly service, we had a good meal in a relaxed atmosphere.Food: 5/5
It has an attractive interior design, a pleasant atmosphere and the staff offer their service with with a smile but I was slightly disappointed with the quality of my Sunday roast, it was OK but it didn't meet the standard that I would have expected for the price. Having said that, I would certainly go there again and I strongly recommend it as a pub.
Excellent meal at the Queen’s Head this evening. Believe it’s a new chef - sea bass was absolutely delicious and my husband said his burger was one of the best he’s had in a long while. Really recommend you try.Food: 5/5
Starters and mains were all absolutely superb. Beef spring roll. Mozzarella and tomato with salad. Sunday roast, sirloin of beef. Roast salmon, potatoes and veg. Trio of ice cream. Drinks from the bar. Very reasonably priced for the portion and quality. Staff were attentive and polite. Atmosphere was pleasant and calm. Dogs welcome. Followed by a local walk. Perfect Sunday afternoon. Dietary restrictions: Options for dietary requirements. Chef happy to discuss. Parking: We parked on the Main Street, quite a few spaces and it was free. Apparently there is a free car park not far from the Queens.
We stayed in the apartments above the pub and were able to bring the food and drinks upstairs. Everything was perfect, and the quality of the food and service was above and beyond. Strongly reccomend.
Had the Sunday beef roast and Salmon dishes. Both were deliciously tasty. Pub has a good vibe to it and the young staff were really friendly and prompt.Dog friendly, so the best of both worlds. Will come again soonFood: 5/5
