I had not had a proper pub dinner in twelve years but Queen of Hearts was a good re-introduction. A starter, main course and drink came to a little under £20, which I found very reasonable and the quality of the food was good. I thought the wait for the food was a little long given that it was not very busy and a sauce for which I had paid was missed I admit I also forgot this… but the staff were nice and I do not want to be too harsh. The interior decor is homely and there is also a pool table for those so inclined, so a little something for everyone.
This has been our local now for many years and we have always wished it was better than it has been. It has never lived up to our expectations. However, it looks like things are changing for the better!! A new manager has stepped in and breathed new life into the place. It is busy, with a nice atmosphere and you are not waiting to be served. The staff are pleasant and the manager is visible. Excited to see what’s next.
Good food, ultimate burgers are big and tasty with really good fries. Real value for money

We went for a meal with visiting family and the food and beer was good. However, I have given 4 stars because they never have the Atlantic Cod & Chips on a Friday evening!! Get more in!! Apart from that a very nice early evening.
A very pleasant local estate pub, full of characters on a Saturday night. Food very good, had the scampi and went done very well. Not too pricey, meal and 2 pints around £18. Well recommended.
We ordered the Christmas day 3 course meal. New owner was very accommodating to some circumstances and overall the meal was lovely,well cooked and very enjoyable. I would highly recommend them.
Since change of management it's now the perfect local pub to meet and eat with friends. Plenty of staff on hand to serve customers. With the introduction of quiz nights, pool and darts tournaments, meat raffle, roast spuds put out on Sundays management really going the extra mile for customers. It's great to see the place buzzing again. Keep up the good work great atmosphere. Can't wait for the live music tomorrow.
Delicious food, great service and a magnificent view
We had a lovely day watching the rugby with friends. New landlord is great, warm friendly atmosphere. Free Food at half time was amazing.
