I use Deansgate North Q-Park regularly during the daytime and have consistently noticed that the entrance and exit shutters are left permanently open, allowing anyone to walk in freely. This completely undermines the idea of a secure car park, especially one that requires tickets to access individual levels. This evening, after attending an event, I returned to my car when it was dark. The shutters were again wide open. After using my ticket to access my floor, I found 7–10 teenage boys with bikes present on the same level. They did not approach me, but their presence made me feel unsafe and vulnerable, and I walked quickly to my car out of fear that something might happen. This is a city centre car park and not a cheap one. Customers should not be made to feel scared or at risk due to poor security measures. I would appreciate being contacted directly to explain why the car park is not secure and why the shutters are left open. Please provide an email address so I can share full details of this incident. I will also be raising this via live chat, as customer safety should be taken seriously.

Second time parking here as I was staying in a local hotel. Great location, secure parking and plenty of EV chargers with loads of availability. Managed to charge up fully prior to heading back down south.nnHowever, it's great having plenty of chargers, but non-electric cars should be fined for parking in one as I noticed a car had been in one for 24 hours.

Well lit, decent sized spaces, secure entry and we paid much less than we were expecting! Easy to walk into the centre of town. Didn’t pre-book but able to find space without much hassle. Spent a long time researching car parks and glad we gave this a go despite some negative reviews, definitely one to remember for future visits

I do not recommend booking online. The barrier did not open despite having a reservation, so I had to take a ticket to enter and was charged twice.nnCustomer service was helpful and I did receive a refund after emailing them, but the system clearly doesn’t work properly.nAlso, this is quite an expensive car park — £26 per day.

Steer clear.nI pre booked 6pm til 11:30am. I wanted to stay a little longer and read the signs that clearly stated  “Rates as above to a maximum of £26.00 for any 24 hour period. Please note, the rate you receive onnentry endures for your entire visit.”nnThere was no attendant to speak to so I went with what the sign said.nnA day later I was charged an addition £9.60. Even though I hadn’t stayed more than 24 hours. I paid £31 in total. Daylight robbery for less than 24 hours parking.nnAlso I wouldn’t say it was much safer than any other car park as the glass doors were wide open when we left and when we arrived. And stank of urinennI regret not going with euro car parks which is a third of the price!
