DO NOT PARK HERE. They will do anything to charge you a fine. We paid and the app prepopulated a reg after we entered ours. Ended up contesting the ticket with proof of payment and still forced to pay a 20 fee for some rubbish admin reason. Only paid because can’t be doing with the bother but thought I’d warn others. Terrible app to pay with makes fines very likely
Avoid this and any car park managed by Total Car Parks and/or using the Parkonomy App for payment. You will get a £100 Parking Charge Notice within a week.
Smaller car park than it used to be, entrance is off Francis Street, behind the Travelodge. Contactless payment via app no machine to make payment on site. Not too expensive compared to others around. Short walk into the city centre.
Used to be where I'd park when I went to Manchester but it's terrible now. The only way to pay now is through text but that just triggers an automated callback so you can pay, possibly with an SMS charge thrown in too or what is possibly the worst app I've ever used. Despite having ANPR, the car park doesn't use it to make the customer's life easy in any way, because they don't tell you when you entered so how much you owe. But the signs don't tell you to make a note of when you entered either. Safe to say using the app to be charged for the wrong period was extremely frustrating. They say don't drive angry, but they've never parked here. If the choice was between parking here ever again or setting fire to my car and rolling it into a ravine, I know which I'd choose. And I like my car.
I would not rate this at all but there is no lower rating than one star. AVOID. They sent me a parking fine even though I have the invoice from Parkonomy with proof of payment. Disgusting.
Took me 20 min to work out how to pay the fing car park. Phone number was declining my cards for some reason, then I had to install the fckin app
I was broken into at this car park, the police know it well , cctv is useless and the company do not respond to any phone calls. THIS CAR PARK IS NOT SECURE IN ANY WAY, give it a very wide berth.
Not too bad a car park, nightmare to pay its ll online and have to download an app.
I'm sure on a normal day this car park is great but don't use for Young Voices. Even though this is advertised as event parking it's is not geared up for managing it. We took over an hour to get out. No assistance to help with traffic. Use official parking for events otherwise you will be late picking up the kids.
Good, secure car park convenient to the arena. Cheap rates and security guards. Not to be mistaken to Total Car Parks Dutton Street around the corner.
