As a new member Im pretty disappointed with the set up. Way too much cardio equipment and not nearly enough weight training equipment. Very little thought has gone into where the equipment for weight training is - I'd suggest having it all in one area and the same for cardio and functional training. Only one? quad extension machine and squat rack, the leg press is downstairs whilst the quad and hamstring machines are upstairs! Showers - clean but pressure is not great and you cant make them cold. The layout needs to be revisited and carefully thought out. Due to the lack of equipment I'd be hard pressed to follow my own scheduled workout plans and as a PT I'd be reluctant to take a client to this gym - again due to equipment shortage/availability.
Have already told you the issues with the gym on pervious surveys amd nothing been done. The school kids over run the place I'm there to work out not babysit. Certain PT has no sense of personal space and trains his clients in the functional area and ends up invading your workout areas machines falling apart. That's why ill be joining another gym
As a member visiting Glasgow this was my nearest PG, I have to say I am disappointed with the place. No real area to do functional training, lack of racks, too much unused cardio equipment and bad layout. Part of the reason to use PG is that it should be consistent and compared to my home PG this is very poor. I think PG need to move with the times and realise that people want racks plenty of space for functional work as people move away from cardio for weight loss or maintenance.
Good club let down by out of date lockers where members are allowed to keep a specific locker by leaving a padlock on it and the water pressure on the showers is very poor
It's tremendous value but it's a low cost gym. You have a super low monthly rate but the space is a bit small and the machines are the most basic model of the basic models. The hygiene is top notch. Everything thing is clean doesn't matter what time of the day you train. I think that should be more support from the PT's even if they are not hired by the user. Some exercises poorly done can lead to injury.
Excellent venue. Like the layout of this gym. Changing facilities also good and always enjoy a spin class here when in area.
It looks like we have a theif in the Clydebank pure gym, I was in the gym for an hour yesterday and when I went back into the changing room my black and white Nike Lebrons have been took from my locker,
This gym has been dying a slow death for years but pure gym want us to tell them their gym is wonderful it's not it's a poor excuse for a gym.
The water machine doesn't work for more than 1 week?? On the top floor, the end of the hall ' The lights will turn off after 12:00 !!! Devices are old and Some devices don't work properly... ?? I dont know , Why doesn't anyone deal with these problems and resolve that's??
Really enjoy coming to Pure gym. The odd time there can be groups of young boys/girls that just hang around a set of machines sitting on them on their phones and chatting and not actually using them which can be frustrating especially if you are hoping to use that machine but other than that great place. Place is very clean. Staff lovely.
